(Repost of the Lost RP, pre 9/7 disaster)
"It has been far too long since the story had been read... and now, it is time to reopen the tale of a lost homeland."

Epilogue - The Day We Mourn
Prologue - First Of The Storm

    Applications Status -
Currently closed! However, if you really want to start writing, either wait until First of the Storm, or send me a PM so we can make some arrangements as we approach the final moments of the thrilling Ashes saga, and prepare to move to the Storm saga.

    Info -
This is Lost, the epilogue of the events that last occurred in the last Wynncraft RP, The Day We Mourn. If you're familiar with the sort of work done here, welcome back. It's great to see you again. If you're new to the RP, you've come at the right time to either join in on the story, or just to figure out what's going on, starting here. But before all that can begin, there are some important rules to abide by.

    RP Duration - Short
(Lost will switch over to First Of The Storm once Gavel beta is announced)
Location - The Province Of Wynn
Theme - Medieval, Fantasy, Adventure, Post Apocalyptic, Survival

    Backstory -
"Wynn... once the glorious origin of legendary warriors, now leaves a nightmarish legacy of utter chaos. What were once prosperous cities, sprouting life and fortune, are now the ashes and ruins of fortifications, burial grounds of their own people, swarmed by bloodthirsty monsters. This desolation became known to every citizen, soldier, and elder alive, as a reminder of how even the strongest shield can break, due to the unrelenting test of time. After the corruption that drained the province of its life began to fade, only few remained. These survivors, though fortunate to be alive, had fear scarred in their minds for eternity. Those of the remaining adventurers were sent out to recover the survivors, in hopes of escaping the destruction that the corruption brought to their land. Nothing was certain about how these few would last, but certainty was not the only thing they desperately needed; what they were running out of, was hope. Ancient manuscripts foretold of another province, the homeland of the villager race. Locked away behind the colossal doors, lies a realm completely unknown to outsiders. If the manuscripts are true, solace has been found. If not, there is nothing left to hope for, in a world of eternal darkness and ashes. The fate of the survivors lies beyond the doors. Whatever will come next, only time will tell."

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Rules -
    1) General Wynncraft guidelines and Community Conduct rules apply here as well.
    2) NSFW content is not allowed. Do not bring sexual content to the RP.
    3) Be serious. We're telling an actual story here. This means no modern slang, or complete tomfoolery.
    4) Use common sense when writing, or at least pretend to have some.
    5) Do not create overpowered characters. You can make them powerful, but not over the top.
    6) When interacting with another author's character(s), make sure to contact them first. Do not kill off another author's character(s) unless said author has made an arrangement.
    7) When a character dies within the events of this RP, they're dead for good. No respawning or reincarnation. Just as long as the character is still living, they're in. (Secret password is 2K84P)
    8) Use proper grammar and spelling. If you don't know how to, use a spell checker or a dictionary. They're good tools to use, and you can expand your vocabulary.
    9) If you plan to join the RP, this means you are also devoted to writing whenever needed to. If you think you'll run out of ideas for your story too quickly, or won't have enough time to write, reconsider joining.
    10) Use your own writing style. It's what represents your character, as well as yourself.
    11) Violence and profanity may be used, but in amounts that are still deemed safe for younger audiences to read.
    12) Enjoy the RP experience! We're not paid to work on this, we're doing it for fun.

Old member with a new character

    Name: Alyndra Shadowsong.
    Age: unknown
    Species: Elf
    Class: Hunter archer
    Personality: Mysterious, ruthless and cold.
    Weapon: The Sorrow HeartSeeker
    [IMG]
    Affiliation: N/A
    Backstory.
Alyndora's history was to this day still a mystery to all. It was unclear how old she was, now from what elven bloodline she has within her. Rumour has it, that she carried a mixed bloodline of both High elves, and Dark elves, possessing the talents of both kind. She can sent out an arrow with such accuracy it would taken down a hawk from kilometers away. She can also create magical spell to aid her on battle. However, her knowledge of magic was still limited. She fought along side with the humans for hundreds of years, but when the anthros and the elves drove to near extinction, she was one of the few elves that survived. As elves became rare, their value increased. Many bounty hunters have tried to capture her alive. All have failed. Hidden deep within a small hut in a little wood, Alyndra was a master at setting traps, and ambushing prey. Her reputation slowly and surely sank into oblivion, forgotten to the outside world. Once the corruption started, and the apocalypse began, she left the little wood that has been hiding her from the world, and wander across the land.

Throughout the time she had hidden within the woods, she tamed two wild animal to be her companions. Kal, a female hawk with a wingspan of about three meters, trained to become her keen eyes in the sky, and a white male saber tooth tiger she named Asher, which often she ride on then entering battle. Alyndra has bound her companions to her soul with a spell, allowed her to communicated with them.

    Abilities
    1. Passive: The heart of a Hunter
Alyndra gains deadly accuracy and a devastating critical shots whenever she is in stealth mode via hiding from plain sight, invisible.

    2. Piercing arrow.
Alyndra charged up light arrow from her power. The arrow is strong enough to ignore any kinds of armor, piercing through the target and also works with her passive. While channeling, she can still took damage. Any damage taken will interrupt the channel.

    3. Command: Eyes gouging.
Alyndra called upon Kal. The hawk choose a target in which she dashed down and strike it like a missile. She will then attempt to gouged out the eyes of the attacker, temporarily blind the target.

    4: Command: Pounce
Alyndra called upon her tiger, Asher to pounce onto her target. The tiger will then tear out the throat of the one he pounced onto with his saber tooth.

    5: Searing arrows
Alyndra imbued her arrows with the energy of the moonlight. Her arrows turned into light arrows, inflicting heavy damage against the unholy. The arrows would also cause her targets to slow down once they were hit by the arrows. The arrows can only be used if the moon is present

    6. Moon shine
Utilizing the power of the moon, Alyndra can cloaked herself under the moonlight, completely become invisible. Any sudden movement will break the spell and revealed the huntress.

    Update on things to come

    Hey!

As of right now, we are 60% done with the Lost Arc, which means we are at the precipice of ending the tale of Wynn. Because of this, public applications are currently closed, at least until First of the Storm. However, I am willing to make exceptions on this.

If you absolutely wish to join the RP, send me a PM and I will go through it. For this, you must be willing to write whenever needed, as well as confirmation that you will stay in the RP. Do expect quite a workload.

We lost a lot of authors recently, so perhaps our odds of keeping the RP alive will be greatly increased with new, devoted authors.

    Message to authors:

This message is mostly directed towards @Chibiest_Kitsune and @Lev. As we reach this stage of the RP, I shall take this time to inform you all that, in the most polite manner that I can muster, I need you guys to start writing some more. @Chibiest_Kitsune, now might be a good time to wake Kitsuna up. @Lev, help out with Azul's part of the story.

If you guys have any questions, contact the group on Skype and we can help you out.

Also @SkellySniper, I think I've done enough writing for Dante. Help us out too, will ya?

    To any readers:

We're terribly sorry about the huge delay in readable material recently. With the sudden rise of "school" and "real life", some of our authors (including me) haven't been able to work on much. However, the wait will be worth it, because the story will really start getting tense in the next few posts.

That's all I have to say on this. Thanks for tuning in!

    Ew, productivity *shivers*

Kitsuna jolted up from his long sleep, surpirsed at both how long he's been asleep and how he's still alive. Quickly undoing the barricades and picking up his supplies, taking a bite out of the apple he had picked before his rest. Not seeing nor hearing any possible threats, he slipped out of the ruins.
How long have I've been asleep?
He stopped near the edge of the jungle, climbing up a tall tree and resting upon a large branch. Opening up a geography book, he ran his finger along the words and maps, stopping at the northern edge of the map.
There has to be something beyond there... But what?
He shut the book, slipped it back into his bag and headed north to the city of Troms

Alright, all you faithful readers! I know it's been a while, and the story's been pretty much deleted since 9/7, so I'm posting a little summary here for y'all.

    1. Everyone introduces their characters. Pretty much it.
    2. Main event was @Souplaire's character Sol going blind .-.
    3. @axii's character Aeon is found in a snowdrift by Azul (@Lev's character)
    4. My character Dante meets up with Azul and Aeon.
    5. Together we all fight Akyro (also @Souplaire's character) and lose. No one dies.
    6. Since this is part of the writing in progress, I can't tell you, but I will say that SHIT HAPPENS. (featuring a couple of new characters! :D)

(Sorry for keeping you guys waiting. Now, let's open this book again.)

Where we last left off, Aeon, Dante and Azul had just been defeated by the sinister entity named Akyro, and were headed to one of two remaining cities in the now desolate realm of Wynn. With great pain and great loss, how will these survivors fare? Find out... right now.

Aeon walked on the road through the misty jungle. Dante was right behind him, along with Azul.

“Ugh! Why are we going to Troms again?!” Azul groaned. Her legs felt numb, and her back felt like it was about to snap in half.
“Hey, shut up! I’m just as tired and beaten up as you are. That crazy bitch with her chains...” Dante hissed at Azul. His body was just as broken and twisted as the other two, after the fight with Akyro.

“Guys, relax. We’re nearly there, and once we arrive, we can finally rest on real beds this time!” Aeon turned around, and gave a long sigh. “Besides, the only other city that isn’t completely destroyed is Nemract, and that’s even further back. Our best bet right now is Troms.” Aeon continued on walking. He could still remember the image of Akyro vividly in his head, as well as the warning she gave them...

“Fine, you’re right. Jeez, I hate it when you’re right.” Azul sighed, dragging her sore body across the jungle path. The normally dangerous jungle route was surprisingly empty. Not a single corrupted nor human could be spotted on sight. Something wasn’t right, and they took caution as they walked. It was then, when they found a frozen corpse, a giant icicle piercing through its chest.

“No. No. No, no, no, no, no, no!” Aeon mumbled in desperation. He sped onto the path that cut through the lake. Dead bodies were scattered across the lake and the path, either crushed or impaled by large fragments of ice. The lake itself was deep red, dyed by the blood of the fallen victims. Smoke was coming from a nearby building. Aeon stopped in his tracks, falling onto his knees as Dante and Azul watched in awe. Troms, the mighty fortress of the once lively jungle, had fallen.

“No! No! Damn it, not again!” Aeon cried, his voice echoing throughout the valley. While he was sinking into despair at the fall of yet another city, something had been spying on him from amongst the rubble. With a large leap, the creature shot into the air.

“Aeon, watch out!” Dante shouted, before the bladesinger could even see what was about to attack him. Like a meteor, the giant figure came crashing down onto the jungle ground, leaving behind a scorching crater and a plume of smoke. When the dust cleared, a masculine figure was standing in the crater, wearing a dark armor covered with dirt and the blood of unfortunate victims.

On his left hand, he wore a huge gauntlet, sprouting metal pipes and a strange meter in the middle. With every move, the giant machine exerted large puffs of steam. His dark red hair looked as if his hair was covered with blood. Once he stood up, the man was as big as a giant. Aeon however, was nowhere to be found.

The bladesinger was quick enough to cloak himself and make an escape, just as the strange man landed. From behind the figure, he leaped into the air and planted his weapon deeply into the right shoulder of the man.

“I’m not gonna make the same mistake I made last time!”

Not even the slightest wince. The giant stood still like a rock, while another man plunged a sharp blade into his flesh.

“... I take back what I said, I’m an idiot."

The giant figure raised his right hand up, took a good grasp of Aeon’s cloak and flung him towards the wall like a ragdoll. Aeon’s dagger however, was stuck behind. Taking advantage to the situation, he grabbed the chain with his left hand and pulled Aeon back, while shouting out:

    “GET OVER HERE!”

As the flimsy bladesinger came reeling back for seconds, the giant delivered a devastating punch right into Aeon's gut with his right hand. Knocking the wind out of the unfortunate bladesinger, the giant withdrew his massive hand, as Aeon tumbled onto the ground, motionless. With one fell swoop, this giant figure had single-handedly put the young man into submission. He raised his right leg up, preparing to stomp Aeon's head clean off.

    "Oh no you don't!"
Suddenly, from behind the metal giant, a fiery projectile blasted the back of his head, and several slashes bounced off his leg. Dante and Azul had stepped in. Shaking it off like small pebbles against dark steel, the colossal figure turned around, growling aggressively as he picked up velocity. Slowly but surely, he came careening towards the new challengers.

“Oh, that’s not good.” Dante swore under his breath, slowly moving back while continuing to launch more blasts at the juggernaut. Even though the explosions went straight to his face, there was no sign of the giant man slowing down. Upon reaching the vicinity of the two, he leaped into the air and slammed the ground with his palms, creating a miniature earthquake. The seismic pressures caused Azul to lose her balance and fall flat on her back, as the metal giant pulled his arms out of the rubble.

Luckily, Dante had managed to stay on his feet. He immediately teleported behind the massive juggernaut, and ran for Aeon. The giant gauntlet just barely missed Dante head as his hand swooped by, instead smashing into a nearby tree. The young soldier grabbed the bladesinger by his cloak and pulled him back up to his feet.

"Aeon, snap out of it! Now’s not the time to fall asleep. We need to get out of here!" Dante shook the bladesinger so hard that he woke up on cue, slightly dazed and still gripping his chest from the knockout blow.

“*cough* Agh… since when did everyone in this world become sadists?”

But then, something caught all three of them off guard. Snow. It began to fell from the sky, piling on the ground quickly. The snow wasn't regular snow, it was pitch black, as dark as obsidian. The weather grew colder and colder, until the point where it surpassed the frigid temperatures of Nesaak.

"If it weren’t any clearer until now, something isn't right! We gotta get the hell out of here right now!" Dante growled, pulling on Aeon's cloak again, dragging him across the cold grass with a tight grip. The unconscious fighter had just awoken from a concussion. His tired body twitched in agony and pain, as he struggled to simply look around him. The overpowering attack had deprived him of strength, as well as his dignity.

Damn it… now we’re going to end up like everyone else has… it’s all my fault… I wasn’t… strong enough… agh!

The dark frost only added to the chaos. Their vision had been reduced to the point where it was impossible to see beyond five meters ahead. Suddenly, a giant metallic hand swooped by from behind the mounds of snow, and grabbed Dante by the head. He could felt his skull slowly crushing under the pressure, letting out a loud cry of pain as he began ascending higher and higher, much to the metal giant’s pleasure.

“AAAAHHHHHHH! LET GO! SOMEONE, HELP ME! AAAAAHHHHH!”

Azul could not see anything, and only stood there, trembling as she heard Dante's plea for help. She tried to run, but something had held her legs in place. The young assassin found her legs frozen in clear blue ice, imprisoning her where she stood. Waiting for something coming, she heard a small clang, followed by a glass shattering cacophony. Many ice fragments flew toward her, bouncing off her tiny body. The ice wasn't painful, but it was extremely cold, even with the slightest touch. Another loud clang, followed by another, and another, then a loud thud, causing the ground to tremble.

Only the whims of the breeze could tell what fate had in store for them.

Will stranded alone in the snowy plain. He has lost his companion, Sol in the blizzard. There’s no way he could found her, so Will decided to move on his own.

“Nesaak, five hundred meters ahead.” He read from a sign. Assumed it to be a village in the snow, Will can only find the frozen tomb of whatever that’s left of Nesaak. “One more down. How many of them are still untouch i wonder?” Will thought to himself, before he was attacked by a pack of wolves. They nearly got him from behind, but thanks to Will quick reflex, he dodged it just in the nick of time.

“Wolves… not too big.” Will analyzed the pack. He isn’t fond of fighting animals, but since they attacked him first, Will would be forced to retaliate. He make a short work with the pack, using Fieraga. The fiery blade slice through two wolves, ended their life as the others began to flee. Will burried the wolves in the snow, then carried on. He finally reached the Great Bridge.

Will followed with the only other road. The amulet on the sword glowed when he pointed it toward the direction. He would have traveled over the bridge if it wasn’t for the cries of pain in the opposite direction. Being the “curious bastardry” he is, Will followed the sound.

“There is something strange in the air, I don’t like it.” Cereberus, the familiar inside of him said to his conscious mind. “Yeah. I don’t like this either.” Will said in his mind. He raised his glowing sword and casted Theagira. Immediately, the sword emitted a blue glowing light. The light revealed a dark purple aura, covering the cold air. Indeed the air felt odd within the area, where the scream came from. He was ready for a fight.

“Hmm? Another person?” Akyro wondered, Syla had just returned, and three people were sitting against the wall of the tunnel. They seems hurted and beaten, yet no wounds is visible. “Hehehee~ there’s always room for more fun...” Akyro said, cracked her knuckle. Will revealed himself. He saw Akyro, with the purple aura strongly emitting from her own body. Will can see behind her, three body leaned against the wall.

“She’s the strong one. Gotta certainly put my guard up on this one.” Will mumbled to himself. He held his sword tightly backing off slowly out of the tunnel. He wouldn’t have the advantage if he stay in there. Immediately, Akyro was behind him.

“Aww, leaving already?” She asked, disappointment clear in her voice. Will immediately tumbled forward to create distance. He turned around, facing Akyro. “Hmm....you certainly look familiar...” Akyro thought. Her minds begin to rambling for a quick moment. She then remembered. “Oh! Ohohoho! Lemme guess, lemme guess, is your name William?” The words flew right off her mouth as an excited child would speak. Will was stunned by the words. How did she know his name? He didn’t answer, but he was definitely caught off guard by that.

“In that case...that makes it even more fun! Heheheh!!.” Akyro smiled, and suddenly disappeared. Will suddenly felt a sharp pain over his back, as the chain knocked him dead center in the back, knocking him off balance. Will quickly stood back to his feet, steadied his ground. He raised his sword and drew a sigil. Air drawn from around him, create a barrier surrounded him. The second blast came in by the rear, blocked by the barrier. Third one to the front, fourth one to the back, fifth to the rear,... Each blast were blocked by the barrier created. Will’s shield is getting weaker. He need another way to approach this. Will focused on the objective to find an opening, while blast after blast kept on pounding onto the wind barrier. The barrier finally bursted, and in that moment, Will turned around, and swing his sword.

    *Clang*

The sound echoed through the silent woods. Akyro stopped in her track. Her hand blocking the azure blue blade from Will’s sword. The chain clashed against the sword, created a small spark. “Oohh….not bad, not bad!.” Akyro said, as she flew to a different location in the instant. “Hm…..I could’ve sworn old Will was dead...that’s not William...is it? Hm~” Akyro thought again. All thoughts diminished. She was assured that it wasn’t him. And the only way to prove it is to acquire his soul. A strand of lightning shoot at her direction. Zapped right by her. She’s far too fast for any kind of projectile to hit her, even if it’s lightning fast. Will turned around and blocked another shot. His sword deflected the chain right off, blocking the dangerous blow from Akyro’s chain. Although he did take some hit. His prediction was on spot. He seems to nearly see her. He knows where she would land her attack and deflected the blast. Will doesn’t seems to back down hit after hit she pounded on him successfully. The barrier made from wind is up again, but something caught Akyro completely off guard. Will immediately bursted the barrier, pulling everything into his range. One swipe, with unbelievable accuracy knocked Akyro back. When she looked back, Will was already up in the air, his sword raised up to his back. She recognize this technique. She have to get away from this attack, or she would pay an expensive price.

A heavy thud. Will landed on his leg and knee. His sword struck onto the ground hard. She is gone, just too fast for his move to land correctly. Will get on his feet and stand his ground once more. Will raised his now glowing blade, and drew a sigil. Suddenly, three chain flew at him with the speed of light. All strike from a different direction. Out of sheer luck, Will was able to cast Sarengira just in time for the attack. All the chain force were absorbed, and rebound back to the sender. Nothing happened. In front of him, Akyro appeared, at a good distance of course. Her hand shook a little. Her facial expression shown confusion and disturb, rather than the aggressive expression she had at the beginning of the fight.

“Hm~! You seem familiar, yet not...at the same time..I feel like I’ve met you before...but… you’re kinda different now, hehe~. Who are ya?” Akyro asked. Will haven’t the faintest clue what she’s saying. He remain unresponsive. “Aww, not gonna tell me then? Looks like I’ve just gotta beat it outta ya~.” Akyro cheered. Before Will can even see her moving, Akyro was already in front of Will. One heavy shot in the gut, then a chain whipped him back. Will was sent flying. He landed hard on his back. Before he even have a chance to move a muscle. Akyro was right on top of him, and gave Will a heavy stomp in the head. That would have ended any man’s life, but not Will.

“Ow, she nearly stomped my head clean off!” Will said within his conscious mind. The same voice of Cereberus in his mind spoke once again. “You oughta be more careful . If you die, so will I, and I don’t intend on dying just yet.” “Neither do I.” Will replied out loud. He slowly stood up from the blow, only to be impaled through the chest by three chain. The sharp pain create a shock that would silenced Will, prevent any sound came out of his mouth.

“Cmon, why didn’t you make this easy? You were a great fight..but you just didn’t tell me...” Akyro said, as she readied to finish off Will, chains floating and eyes glowing menacingly. Her eyes glowed a brilliant dark blue. In his last moments, Will let out a smirk. Suddenly the vision of a three headed hound flashed in Akyro’s mind. A massive blood hound in front of her, growling viciously. Before Akyro could react to the perceived threat, Will grabbed her arm tightly, preventing any movement. Will was readied to thrust his sword forward to ended her, but the last chain restrained his movement. Will know that he need to act fast. His abilities isn’t going to last long against this. He drew a sigil in the air with only his wrist. With Will cast Aethraga. The strong wind pushed Akyro away from Will, removing the chain that’s impaired his movement and impaled his chest. The blast sent her into the trees.

Akyro would only found Will gone when she returned, but a trail of blood on the white snow. Will had made a good distance. His hands shaking like crazy. Two visible hole from his chest. Will need to do something quick to heal the wounds. Blood is still spilling out, not at a fast pace. Will lit his sword on fire with the fire sigil spell. Once the blade is heated enough, Will pressed it in his chest to stop the blood from flowing. Yet another cry of pain. The wound is thoroughly treated, but infection is still a big threat. Will vision was getting blurry from losing blood. His brain felt pulsating hard. Will can barely stand up on his feet. He could see a dark figure up ahead. Will drew his sword out, shakingly point it at the figure. His legs gave in, as he toppled onto the floor. His vision blacked out.

Will spring up from the ground. He was in a shack, and he wasn’t lying on the snow anymore, but an old withered bed. The holes put on his chest were healed, no scars visible. “Oh! Oh! You’re awake! Man, that was faaast!” Akyro said, sitting on a chair in the opposite side of the room. Will switched his focus onto her, calmly scanning the room with his peripheral vision, searching for his weapon. “Sword’s behind me, if ya wanna know, hehee~” Akyro said, pulled the Blue Edge from behind the chair and tossed it toward Will. “The silver part took me by surprise. I never thought silver can be blue.”

“What do you want from me. You could have just end my there. What is it you want?” Will asked, looking faintly at the girl. “Ohohoho! You’re not silent after all! And yeah, I could’ve killed you there. There’s a lot of people I could’ve killed, but I don’t just randomly steal people’s souls, or kill them~! Besides, it’d be easier for you, yourself to answer my questions ” Akyro explained. She leaned forward and started the question that rambling in her head.

A few minute passed. Akyro got a better hold of who Will really is. However, Will never mention he wasn’t from this world. Then, Akyro asked. “Besides, it’s pretty obvious you’re a stranger here, hehee~.”

“How do you know?” Will asked with interest. He would love to know how she knew.

“You fight a lot differently! Your fighting style, that is. Us locals are pretty aggressive in our attacks, but you? Nah! You’re one of the first to try to parry me!”

“Good to know. But I think it’s best for me not to tell you where I came from.”

“Hmm, well, everybody’s entitled to their secrets. Where are ya headed, anyway?”

“I don’t know really. I haven’t had a clear destination yet. Roaming around in here doesn’t seems like a bad choice, nor does it good either....” Will sighed. He didn’t want to tell Akyro about his true goal yet. For the time being, this place seems like a good place to explore for the time being. The portal link can wait.

    (We're alive!)

Nemract, at the time, was the only city that still stood on its withered legs. Every other city had fallen under the hands of the corrupted, even the mighty fortress of Troms. The province was dying, and the people needed salvation. They decided to put their last hopes on the gateway to the other world, the province of Gavel. Chances are slim, and the journey will be harsh. The survivors have no idea what lies beyond the sea. There haven't been any reports from neighboring cities, and not a single scout ship has returned. Nonetheless, the situation was too dire to abandon hope now. The people needed something for them to believe in... and they believed in Gavel.

Aeon was hiding behind a building. He clutched his newfound weapon in one hand, and his Icebreaker in the other, breathing heavily. Aeon peaked his head over the wall a little bit, scanning ahead. He saw William, standing in the opening, back turned at him. His shoulder still bandaged from the ice lance pierced through. The wound his healed, but his arm is still numbed from the cold and the burning pain.
”Alright... there's my chance. It's now or never.” Aeon mumbled, as he pulled down the hood and carried out his plan. Quickly he approached Will, sidestepping around his target to find the right time to strike. Then, after prancing out and about, Aeon lunged at Will, both daggers in hand as he went in for the kill.
"Haaaa!" He yelled as he struck the warrior down. Immediately, Will reacted. He quickly ducked, turned around and grabbed Aeon mid-air by the waist. The bladesinger was thrown onto the ground. One hand pinned and the other locked in place, Aeon found himself unable to move.
“Nrgh! Damn it… I almost had it...”
"It appears you’re getting better at stealth, but don’t scream at the top of your lungs when you go for the kill. You are doing the enemy a favor by warning them of your imminent attack." Will said, releasing his grip. “Go now.” Aeon rubbed his wrist, taking the failure as another lesson.
Just as Will turned around, a fireball whizzed by his face. He easily dodged the fireball, but for a second he left himself vulnerable. Immediately, Will saw a shadow above him, a knife in its hand ready to strike down. Missing his right hand, Will was forced to draw his sword to block the attack.
"Hah! Gotcha!" Dante said, pulling out another knife and readied to thrust it into Will's stomach. He pinned William to the ground, and just one more move before he forced the man down, or so he thought he got Will where he wanted. Will noticed a crucial weak point on Dante's move. He let go of his sword, where Dante put most of his weight upon. He then immediately step to the left, and grabbed Dante by the neck with his arm, and tumbled down onto the ground along with the attacker. Using his hand, he locked Dante down with a head lock, keeping him in place.
    “Agh... ngh... grh, ragh-”
"Don't let your guard down for even a second. Victory is only achieved when the enemy is completely down." Will said, letting go of the chokehold on Dante. But just before he could get up to his feet, Will was hit in the back of the head with a wooden dagger. Azul, from the lower branch of a tree, jumped up in joy, but forgot to balance herself as she stood on frail foundation.
“Okay, now for my tur- waaaugh!”
'Well, she's the craftiest one of the three... she could find my blind spot from that distance and strike from afar. Yet, her technique’s the sloppiest.' Will thought, as he walked everyone back to their resting place.

On their way back to the hut, Will noticed the faint silhouette of a fluffy tail, similar to a cat’s. However, the size of the tail was too big for it to be a normal cat.
“Uh… take a breather, guys. I need to take a look at something.”
The others agreed in relief as they nearly collapsed against the wall of a nearby house, tired from training.

Will peaked his head lightly over the wall of a hut. In his eyes he saw a woman in long blonde hair. She wore a pure white cotton shirt, and a dimmer white skirt. A golden quiver with white feathered arrows, and a golden green bow made of rare wood materials. Her pointed ears twitched slightly the breeze flew by. Beside her, a white tiger. He seemed to be even bigger than the normal ones, with two long fangs on each side of his mouth.
'That's a big cat.... a REALLY big cat.' Will thought, staying completely motionless
"Who goes there?!" The girl spoke in a strange language, different from everyone else, pulled out her bow and pointed at William's direction, arrows readied to fly.
'Crap, cover blown.' Will cursed under his breath, as he stepped out of the cover, his hand up in the air. "Hail. It is a pleasure to meet you." Will said spoke the same language as the strange elf.
"Do I know you? What Is your name?" She asked in confusion. He was the first one she met who knew the elven language.
    "William Henry is my name."
"Shadowsong, Alyndra." The elven woman said, dropped the bow and put it away on her back. "What is your purpose here?" she asked, raised her left hand up from her side. A hawk came down from the sky and rested on her hand. The hawk was roughly as large as her, with wingspan easily reached three meters in length. Will raised his hand and pointed at the saber tooth tiger, growling at him. Before Will could speak, Azul came around the corner.
    "Will, what are you doing?"
    “Danger.”
Out of pure hunting instinct, Alyndra raised her bow and shot an arrow toward Azul. Time seemed to stopped for everyone. Hearing the shaft, Dante had teleported to intercept whoever had shot it, for none of the party had a bow.
    “Noooo-”

But all that seemed to exist was the arrow, spinning as it headed to Azul.
‘Shit! On my bad arm too.’ Will thought, unable to reach out to catch the arrow. Before anyone else could even react, in an instant, Akyro was there, holding the arrow in her hand.
"Ooh. Silver arrows. Haven't seen these in awhile.~" She said, in her singsong voice, inspecting the arrow on her hand.
"A corrupted?! What is THAT doing here?!" Alyndra asked, drawing another arrow to fire at Akyro, fully intending to kill.
"Do not shoot! She is an ally. We are all allies here.” Will said frantically, jumping in the middle of the fray.
"You can talk to elves?" Azul asked, looking completely shocked.
"Yes, I can. Not a lot, but yes." Will replied.
"These creatures you call friends of yours I cannot trust. Humans and corrupted alike have done nothing but bring torment and suffering to my race." Alyndra snarled, looking at Will while the bow was still aimed at Akyro. The sabertooth tiger beside her crouched down on all four legs, its fur on edge as if readied to attack on her master's command.
"Okay, so first you come here trying to speak to us in a language we don’t understand, then you try to shoot us? You should be glad I wasn’t here just now, or I would’ve beat the living shit out of you. No one attacks my friends at gets away with it." Dante growled at her with an aggressive tone, pulling out his dagger and grasping it tightly in his hand. Sensing the hostility, Alyndra slowly shifted her crosshairs over to Dante, thinking he would be the biggest threat of the group.
“Keep it cool, Dante. Will, could you give us an explanation?” Aeon stepped in, hoping to avoid another fight. Reluctantly, Dante withdrew his weapons, eyes still glaring daggers at Alyndra.
“This person here goes by the name of Alyndra. She’s an elf. Don’t you all worry about her, I’m pretty sure she comes in peace.”
“This human with his insolent nature and the brandished daggers… I sense nothing but danger.”
“... As I was saying, she means no harm.”
“But how can you be so sure? Just earlier she tried to shoot Azul!”
“I can assure you, it was just a misunderstanding. Probably because of the dagger and dark clothing..."
“And how does that change anything? She tried to kill us!”
“So did Akyro, and yet you’re fine with her standing right behind you.”
    “Well, that’s diff-”
“Hee hee, he’s right. I was about to kill you guys~!”
“... Fine. But one sign of betrayal from her and I’m not holding back.” Dante stepped back reluctantly, still staring at her.
    “Does it finally understand?”
“Yes. Do you mind if I speak with you in private?" Will asked, before heading off with the elf, he turned around to the group and warned. "Everyone else, please leave us be for a moment."

While Will and the strange elven woman was off to a private chat, Aeon was just about to cloak himself and follow the two, but just as he was about to do so, he felt something grab onto his shoulder and drag him back.
    “Agh!”
“Tch… aren’t you a trouble maker!~” Akyro chuckled, as she turned him around. “Look kid, as much as I hate you, I’ve got something to show you~!”
    “Um, okay…?”
“Now lemme ask, you got anything valuable on ya~? I need you to keep this real safe, or else you’ll run into some... bad times later on.”
    “I’ve… um… got a dagger or two.”
“Perfect~! Now, hand it over.” Akyro said, as Aeon slowly handed his dagger to her. She quickly snatched it out of his hands, pulling him to the ground.
    “Augh!”
With her finger, she began to create inscriptions onto the cold blade, searing glyphs with a crystalline-blue flame.
“Ugh... please be careful. Icebreaker doesn’t do well with fire-”
All of a sudden, the blade let off a massive energy spike, as smoke began to emanate from the inscriptions.
“... damage.” The bladesinger let out a sigh of annoyance, as he got up slowly.
“Aaand… There! Hehe… Now, whenever you fail miserably or feel like cutting yourself, I can always be there for a good laugh…”
“Wow, what kind intentions you have.”
“AndIguessIshouldalsointerveneandsaveyourass. Bye~!” Akyro said as quick as she could possibly speak. With the final words, both her and the blade glowed a blinding light, before she vanished completely.
“Wait, wha?!” Aeon didn't get a chance to complete his sentence, before he realized that Akyro wasn't even there anymore. He looked around in confusion, trying to figure out where could the mischevious demon had left to.

Meanwhile, both Will and Alyndra headed off to a ruined house in an abandoned alleyway. Will turned around a look. Until he could see no one else, Will finally spoke. "What does an elf like you have business in this part of the land?"
"My home has been destroyed by the corruption. My people once resided in the little wood near the Valley of time. After the corruption began its eternal torment, it ravaged the entire elven habitat. Many of my race lost their lives battling the hordes of undead that soon followed. I was forced to leave our home and wander this desolate land in search of refuge, for i am the last of my kind. The others... They did not meet such a fortune." Alyndra explained, as the hawk perched on her shoulder had taken to the skies.
"My pardon for not realizing such grave news."
"No damage done. All is well.”
"Living in a human civilization, I reckon you would know some about our language.
"I do, as a matter of fact. However, none seem to understand me when I try to communicate with them."
    "Would you like to demonstrate?"
"Nocte luna perfecta erit." Alyndra spoke fluently, albeit in a language completely unheard of to many.
"I think I see your problem. The language you speak of is an ancient language which has died off centuries ago. Only in ancient manuscripts and crazed scholars does such text still live. At least that’s what I know." William explained.
"I see. The Elven library held many books that lasted for centuries ago. That should explain the outdated language I have come to learn." Alyndra said, looked upon the setting sun.

Her hawk returned, diving toward her with remarkable speed. It landed onto one of the standing building frame, letting out a high pitched screech.
“These creatures seem to take quite a liking to you.”
"No, she is in panic. Is something the matter, Kal?" Alyndra asked, sensing the distress in the Hawk's voice. Her eyes widen, as she pulled out her bow and drew an arrow readied. Before she jumped onto the rooftop and ran towards the town, she looked over William, and said. "Go and rally the soldiers. Meet me at the southern gate." William could see the seriousness in her tone. 'This is bad.' Will thought, as he ran off to the tavern to warn the warriors of the incoming threat.

Will slammed the door open, shouting at the warriors and mercenaries, all drinking away their sorrow and lost with the whiskey of Nemract. "Get your spears and swords, soldiers. Quickly and get out to the South gate now!" Will shouted at the warriors. Everyone was just about to sprung free from their seats with their brandished weapons in hand, but one particular jumped from his seat, nearly tripped onto his face.

Holding his spear backward and shakingly, the guy said. "Why.... do wi nied to lissen... to you? Yu clerely not from here..." The drunk man said in a drunken haze, barely make out a word from his mouth. In time of desperate, Will wouldn't take any of it.

He walked up to the drunken man, grabbed the spear and disarmed him. He grabbed the man with his left hand and kicked him in the groin, then tossed him over the shoulder like nothing. "He's better off here. Everyone. Move! Quickly!" Will said, as the warriors and mercenaries rushing out of the tavern with their weapons in hand, and readied for battle. When William exited the tavern, Aeon, Dante and Azul ran up to him with inquisition.
"There you are! What happened, Will? Why are all the soldiers rushing outside?" Azul asked, looking confused and concerned.
“Something is coming. You three stay inside. This isn't training anymore, this is the precipice of war." Will answered, looking back at the three.
    “Wait, wha-”
“Don’t question it. Just do what I’m telling you to do!”
"Okay, Will, you need to stop treating us like children. We’re all fighters here, and every last bit of help counts. Please!" Dante pulled onto Will's arm, pleading for him to give them a chance.
"... Fine. But if any of you die, I’ll personally go to hell and beat the shit out of you." Will nodded, then with the three ran to the Southern gate. The soldiers had already got there, and were horrified by what they are witnessing. Before their eyes, from behind the sullen hills, a massive horde of corrupted beasts marched down upon them, an amalgamation of unholy aura piercing the veil. Fear struck in everyone's eyes, all but Will.
“We gotta run, man. We can't fight like this!” One yelled, started the chaos and commotions. There are people in the front scrambled to the back and tried to flee, but was blocked by the guys in the back. The situation had slowly gone from bad to worse.
“William, they are coming! I can see it in you, something that the Warriors around you are lacking of. A fire of courage. Light everyone with the same fire, please! I do not wish for the undead to win this war.” Alyndra from one of the rooftop said aloud. She knew for a fact that Will was indeed afraid, but not of death.
“Listen up! I might not know a single one of you personally, nor may have any of you know me. We face a dangerous foe, and we risk a great loss. You can run for all I care. But keep this in mind; when you turn around and run from the enemy, just how long will it take until you are all alone, cowering in a corner as the enemy closes in on you? For this reason we must stay determined, even if we die trying! If there are any chances to win this battle, to bring forth a better tomorrow, we must keep on fighting, with every inch of our might! Our children and grandchildren will know of this tale, of brave mortal men, willing to stand against Death’s forces.” Will rallied the soldiers. The people who tried to flee for their lives stopped, and took a stand along with the team. Will stood in front, giving the signal for everyone to standby and wait. The legion of unholy monsters closed in.
“Hold your ground!” Will shouted. He unsheathed his sword from behind his back. While holding it with his left hand, he waited for the sword to glow bright blue, before drew a sigil in the air. “Steady!” He shouted again. The undead army closed in further and further. Within the last moment, he impaled his sword to the ground. Everyone could felt a massive shockwave sent to the earth, as the ground before Will ruptured. The hundreds of undeads tossed into the air as the quake destroyed their formation.
“Now!” Will shouted, as all the warrior charged into the fray. Arrows darkened the sky, as the two side trading blow for blow. The front lines of the corrupted has been greatly damaged by the quake. The warriors and mages charged into the battlefield, while archers from behind clouded the sky with arrows, aiming for the backline of the undeads. The fight was chaotic. The undead outnumbered the warriors of Wynn ten or twenty to one. The sounds of clashing metal echoed through the grey sky. The warriors fought with all their might, strong and fierce. No one would turn their back and ran, nor would anyone cowering behind their teammates. Will, however was the one who stand out most. Like a torch in the mist, he and his sword of azure blue shone the brightest. Even when he could only fight with only his off hand, the man didn’t seem like he had any troubles fighting. With the heavy defence front line broken by the earthquake, the warriors of Wynn were able to make quick work of the small army with their might. The battle ended in success, not a single undead managing to retreat.
