That's not how it works...

 

Simple: get high intel for initial cast, then get mana regen items to counteract the drain. Its not hard, in fact my assassin has that build and its doing fine.

 

Intelligence can't make you avoid mana drain...

How vanish works is it gets rid of your saturation effect you always have, so mana regen helps build it back if you have enough, however you need very high regen for it to be effective.

 

Salted and Selvut both know that Selvut's assassin is bugged and is able to regen mana in vanish, not even 11/4s mana regen helps in Vanish (YES I TRIED)

And how are you 100% sure that's how vanish works?

 

Just because a moderator says something doesn't always mean it's true since they don't do the development. If it regened during vanish, nobody would be complaining.

My point is that Salted knows that Selvut's Assassin is bugged and can therefore regen mana in vanish. No one else can regen mana in vanish no matter their items, skill points, build or ids. And mana potions don't work in vanish because if you switch from your weapon to the potion, vanish ends. So you CANNOT regen mana in vanish.

 

I didnt know Selvuts Assassin was bugged, and why is it? I knew Selvut was both a mod and gm. But even then, using some intel makes the initial cast less mana, so you could always do that. (My assassin is water and thunder so I dont know how much it costs normally) I think, like a lot of people said, it should at least not drain when standing still.

 

I completely agree with "Nerf Smoke Bomb, Buff Multihit". I'm fine with the current vanish, but I do wish the mana drain could be reduced.

This is gonna sound dumb like it does sound....how do you unvanish? I thought executing the Vanish spell again will cancel the current Vanish spell but it didn't stop it right away. As a result I try not to use vanish, as it drains all my mana.

...why does vanish go away when you switch weapons, it didn't before. You can't even vanish to drink a potion now.

 

any spell will stop working when switching the weapon and since assassin's spells take more time to fully effect than other classes its the worst for assassin
