Why Heal Needs Nerf

Sort of makes sense that Mage doesn't have to use potions. I agree with that. Because if you were to make an ingame drop accessible to every player as powerful as a key spell of a class, that seriously lowers the class's value. Now of course this only applies to the idea that Mage's should have to use potions.

Anyways, as far as the actual point of this thread. Where PvE is concerned heal is overpowered, as mobs seem to deal a steady stream of pretty accurate damage, resulting in most players taking damage, albeit minimal. Since Mage can heal off both minimal damage and potion effects, it's quite powerful. However where PvP is concerned, what with numerous builds oneshotting each other regardless of defense or hp, heal doesn't matter as much.

 

Heal is indeed OP. But mages need it, because of their LOW attack damage. Low defense + low attack(like really low) = something like the Heal spell.

 

Meteor has the highest damage in the game
Mages has insane damage , range, healing and the defense might be alightly low but its not as bad as archer or anything

 

Very much agreed. My aim is mostly at PvE. Going tanky / not pure damage is stupid for PvP at the moment due to damage items out weighing defence items in every aspect. Due to this, the current PvP meta is currently to go oneshot, cactus, or speed & agi. But that discussion will be for another thread :P

 

I think you guys are all forgetting one little thing:
Mage is a spell-based class
So wouldn't it make sense if Mages had better spells then other classes, in the return of the worst basic attack ever and being mana hungry? Besides, Heal IS the reason Mage is able to compete with the other classes. Mages spells are supposed to have better spells then other classes, as normally it cant pick off enemies with its basic attack like the rest of you can. Now, if you don't mind, stop whining that classes have different play styles then yours.

 

Let's be honest here no one uses basic-attacks not even in PvE, and also Mage's ideal build is a water which means he gets all the mana regan armor
along side with an even more powerful heal AND spell damage, which makes mage not only the best sustain class by a long shot but also the second highest DPS

No offense, but it's mage's nerf spell, Mage needed a buff, and got its buff.

 

Actually basic attack is what people use when they run out of mana. Us mages, we do that A LOT.
So what I'm hearing you want to nerf the ENTIRE class which used to very underpowered because of a single element? Just nerf water and call it good!

 

i am an assassin , not even focused on water build and i mostly use spells and barely melee hits
i dont think mages ever use them unless they go for a gaia build and in that case they have more than enough damage

mage can one shot assassin. My level93 assassin was 1 shot by a level 71 mage & I assure you my build is not bad

 

Mage is the weakest class to start as lvl 1, IT DOSNT NEED A NERF SO LEAVE IT BE!

Yes, but the melee attack sucks, so when they run out of mana they're sorta screwed.

 

but if they use a water build which is what nearly every mage uses (and if not well than i am sure they can manage another good build dunno , like earth for op melee and fire so they live more to use more spells etc) meteor will cost like 3 mana and they will have insane mana regen and blah blah

 

So? Exept duels we do nothing wrong, We were so weak till now and NOW since the element update came, you're all like UMG NERF MEGE BCUZ IT HAZ UP DMG
Havnt you thought about if we have a water build, mobs who arnt weak to water and earth WONT BE AFFECTED

Really tho its impossible to balance all classes 100%. Before the update mage was considered trash and archer very OP. Now we got the new update and everyone is bitching about how mage is to Op. I bet when they fix mage the whole comunnity is going to be like urmagearhd buff mage its so weak. Like give the admins a break.

And besides that if you only have one heart as an mage you only heal yourself like 2 hearts. It drains all the mana you have and the spell is weak when you mostly need it.

Another point is how mage is SPELL based!! Have you seen the melee dmg? Im a lvl 90 mage and I cant even oneshot lvl 25 mobs.

But thats my vision on the situation so please dont take it to seriously.

just use a neutral damage weapon? every classs has the same problem with elemental damage
and we really dont care how mage was before the update ,how it is right now is what matters
