Besides what everyone else said (including the mountains) my only complaint is that the nether portals look too much like the vanilla ones, make them less rectangular, especially the big portal seeing that it is obviously the more important portal and shouldn't look just like a bigger version of the vanilla portal.

Also I know you're not 100% done but I would suggest adding abandoned houses that look like they've been damaged or attacked by the "nether soldiers" you mentioned

Other than that not bad! Do you have a build team that helped you do this?

 

My only main criticism would be the floating island and mountains look kinda iffy. Though Wynn kinda does the same thing to their mountains.
This is really neat, and definitely better then anything I could imagine to make!

 

Like people above have said, the ground and mountains are a bit plain and odd looking. Try to improve those by adding some grass, vines (possibly), and other vegetation. Also, make each area have its own style and don't transition too fast. Example: A desert that just goes straight into plains doesn't look nice. Add some sand and grass going into the two biomes for the most effect.

 

Yah i think needs a bit more topography but looks good. Do you know what the ip will be or will it be private?

 

This looks great, kinda imspiring me to make my own.

 

I am not sure how I can get the portal blocks to appear with a non-square portal frame.
I am going to add a lot of details later.
I don't have a build team just me and my friend.

also its quite impressive that its just you two doing this project, I hope that it doesn't get abandoned because that's what happens when there's just 1 person doing a server or map, I'm not sure about 2 people but I guess it isn't much better.

 

I don't think we would abandon the project that easily as coding is mostly finished and that took me quite some time and release date is very close now.

 

I just finished an entire quest system for this server, including choices and cinematics.

Yeah we do! I am still using my system to create quests as there are currently zero, but when we have like ten quests we will go into open-beta. I am kinda having to do a lot still, I am the one responsible for the plugins, quests, cinematics and puzzles and also building while my friend only does building but I'll manage.

But seriously kudos for making it this far. I have tried a few different times to make a minecraft rpg, and it only worked once. It takes a lot of effort, and it looks good.

Well the mountains don't look natural and and sky island is too close to the ground, but other than that it is a great build.
