Location Of "gem" In 'a Maruader's Dues'?

So I've been doing the quest 'A Marauder's Dues', and I've come to a point where I cannot continue.

I'm meant to 'Retrieve the gem from the chasm and return it to Norsten' however I cannot find this Gem. I would've thought it would be somewhere in the landing area since the gem was supposedly dropped into the chasm, so I wouldn't expect it to be on one of the side paths. However, I've searched both the bottom area and the paths and found no hints as to the presence of this "Gem". I've tried switching servers a couple of times, in case it was an issue with the gem entity spawning, and I've had no such luck.

If anyone could tell me where I can find this "Gem" in the Chasm or elsewhere, I would greatly appreciate it.

 

There...are arrow signs...pointing to where it spawns...right next to where you need to go...

 

Really? I noticed the signs, but they simply pointed to a piece of gray carpet. I figured it might be a hopper carpet but since nothing happened, I passed it off as nothing.

 

There is a bug right now where items are not spawning (quest related) hopefully it will be fixed soon

 

Thanks for the clarification; I thought it was a little weird I couldn't get it to spawn.

 

I'm also about to make the quest, but there is still no spawn Gems. Please Fix this ;/

 

I did it just yesterday with no issue.

 

apparently it started again after double xp weekend ended

 

it doenst work, the gems doesnt spawn ;( or can anybody give me the gem, like a moderator?

 

Yeh, the lightdust for ToL spawned for me during the DXP weekend. But when I tried to retrieve the gem yesterday it didnt work. Looks like DXP is a fix kappa <--

Why not make everyone a VIP with infinite Double XP? I feel as if that would both solve the Quest problems and make all the VIPs happy.
