Just one thing, how large is the current world of Wynn compared to the Earth? It could definitely be a sphere, but at what size? Mercury? Jupiter?

When you say it travels 1200 something machs, something to take into consideration is that it slowes down (very very... much) right before it hits the ground.

Of course! I have a whole list of wynn science!

If gravity exists then that's impossible. All matter with a mass will attract other, larger masses like entire planets will automatically form a sphere-like shape.

Well it's hard to know since it's extemely unlikely that the entire planet is made up of just 4 provinces. It's possible that the provinces we know of forms a sort of continent of the world. I used the gravity of Earth since humans will be unable to survive at a different gravity without protective gear.

That's the instant decceleration upon impact with the ground, where the kinetic energy and gravitional potentian energy of the meteor is transferred into heat, sound and kinetic energy to the ground. It is these energies that cause the explosive power of meteors. Objects being affected by gravity don't just slow down as they get closer to the ground, they speed up, only stopping in that split second of impact.

Sorry i might have been improvisere bit what i means is that from the moment that we use the spell we see it some meters above ground and it is actually quite slow there :)

I always imagined meteor was a result of magic and density. Its a blast of fire-earth magic from the sky, not actual material. I took this as the mage is pulling magic from higher in the atmosphere, which is perhaps stronger than pulling it from a lower altitude, suggesting that the power of magic inverse to its initial concentration, which would have some interesting implications.

Even if it does come from space, however, there is one flaw in your logic. Simply because Earth/Wynn's gravity can pull a meteore 6378 kilometers away, it doesn't mean that every meteore starts out that far away. It could start out 5 kilometers away for all we know. You are assuming worst case scenario right off the bat to make things seem worse than they are.

but the meteor doesn't come from space, it appears around 30 blocks above impact point, what if all the mage's spells are teleportation spells?
teleport? that's easy, they teleport themselves from A to B causing temporary discharges in the immediate vicinity.
meteor? they teleport a meteor from orbit to around 30 blocks above the target, the sudden appearance of the meteor causes sudden expanding making the temperature to rise drastically. another explanation for meteor is that mages are teleporting stones from molten heights which explains the fire damage.
ice snake? they teleport ice blocks from the snowy ravines of the barrier mountains, the sudden coldness temporary stuns any being in the way.
heal? the mages teleport needed flesh, bones and tissue from the slaughtered mobs to replace their own destroyed body parts.

    Just some notes:
1: Meteore is the British spelling, and is quite correct.
    2. You say that the Earth's gravitational pull extends only 6378 km (~3963 mi) from the Earth. When the Apollo missions went to the Moon, they only began falling to the Moon after traveling about 326,000 km, of the approximate 384,472 km Earth - Moon distance.
    3. The effect of gravity is much more far reaching than you suspect. See this article on Lagrangian points.
    4. Meteors can't hurt you, by definition. Meteoroids, meteors, meteorites, and other space objects, from HubbleSite.
    5. Graviton: a massless, invisible, elementary particle that will either make you run screaming in fear, or attract you in wonder, to elementary physics.

Please keep making theories like this. Why? SCIENCE!!

Me here thinking mages just created a fricking fire ball out of thin air and throw it on the enemie(s). Nooo, it has to be LOGICAL.

It's literally two provinces. It looks like this. It's approximately 3.4 km by 5.4km. So it's rougly 18,36 square kilometers. It's very small.

On subject, it's literally just a ball of fire summoned by magic.
    Deal with it.

In real-world measurements, it's not. 1 block = 1 meter, roughly 3.4k by 5.4k blocks, including the ocean.

Really? When you think about it, you can get from pretty much anywhere to anywhere in around 5 to 10 minutes in Wynn and Gavel, on foot, not counting inter-province travel.
Well, I mean, it's been stated by several Mojang members and even Notch that 1 block is equal to 1 meter.
