camping is the thing that people do, if they are too bad to play normally, usually.

    No classes are absolute shit.
You just need to know how they work...
I sound like a broken record when saying this, but Assassin was barely nerfed... it just wasn't really nerfed, if you know how to use it right.

For mage, I use int-agi-dex. The intel of course lowers mana cost and a lot of mage's best weapons have water, spell damage and other things which go well with this, which is decent. Agility makes mage able to move quite fast, which is handy in tight situations and it goes well with ice snake, as you back away quickly while your enemy just goes, "Argh, why, I can't move and you are already like a mile away." Plus, dodging works well if you can't teleport out of the way/heal quick enough. Then dexterity. I didn't choose this because of the thunder element. I didn't choose this because I like critical hits more than high damage. No, I chose this because there are several good items with dexterity which also have nice mana steal and other mana-related things, which is what mage needs.
I can't say much about the other builds since mage is the only class I use much, BUT I can say that the other builds are good and are pretty much what I would use if I ever get round to another class, though I would use a bit of skill points in other skills just to make it a bit more powerful.

    Minecraft:
Another element that is very good for assassin is Water. Assassin's spells in general are very mana-heavy, and are what make the assassin an assassin. With less spell cost, an assassin can stay vanished much longer and cast multihit and smokebomb much faster, and it will be more effective in general.

A somewhat necessary element for assassin (though it should not be prioritized) is Fire. The assassin is unable to do any sort of fire damage alone without a fire weapon, making is vulnerable to enemies that have a fire weakness. Investing some points into fire will grant permission with some fire daggers, which will help fix that weakness. The defense points will also help at itself, since assassin usually has to get very up close and personal with enemies if it wants to be used most effectively.

This is just my current playstyle with assassin and it may not appeal to you, but I thought it would be good to share for the new players looking at this guide.
