Build The Hand

Legend speaks of a demon born of fire that stood at twice the height of a mountain; it is said that it came from the Nether Portal and began to wreak havoc to Nessak once it had escaped. It took one of the province's greatest spellcasters to stop it by entombing it in ice at the expense of the entire region, casting it into an eternal winter. Nowadays all that is visible is the left hand that punctures the surface of the ice in the canyon, giving a reminder to all that pass it of the destruction it caused. However, since the opening of the doors to Gavel, a strange wind has been beginning to gather around the hand, heating it up and causing the ice to melt and break apart.

Hi, recently I have gotten access to voxel and World edit after joining the EV build server and I decided to try building a hand like the one near Lexdale. After a bit of googling I figured out the commands and started to build it. It took maybe 20 minutes to build the actual hand and maybe 40~ minutes to cover it in glass (the time was halved due to some help from Bloopers). Anyway, as this is my first build in a while I would like to look for some feedback, any suggestions for builds in the future.

 

I was expecting a Sr. Wooly reference...

2/10 No good hand structure or a sign of which is the thumb.

 

I never said it was a human hand...

It could've been a giant fire monkey with 5 fingers.

Oh yeah, and if you mean bone structure within the hand, I attempted it with raising the hand at the base of the finger, but couldn't get any further with it (had no idea how to get raised parts with Voxel as it has been about a year since I used it last)

 

So you give it a 2/5.... but I don't see a vote on that yet... ?

 

Well, this is quite a handy build to have, and it looks cool.

Fingers are a bit large for the palm if you ask me, otherwise, it looks cool!

 

Pretty neat but the portions aren't right :3

 

I originally built it with smaller fingers but they looked kinda spindly so I thickened them out. I find that the cartoon-y proportions are more pleasing to the eye, plus, you would expect a giant demon to have larger fingers so he could crush things more easily.

It was never specified why he froze it over (if I remember correctly)
