    ----------------------------------------

Technically it's Meteor but Wynn say it's Meteore. Oh well, on topic: how does Meteore work?

    Key Knowledge:

    • Gravity
    • Velocity
    • Energy
First, let's look at what a meteor is, let's ask uncle google:

"A small body of matter from outer space that enters the earth's atmosphere, becoming incandescent as a result of friction and appearing as a streak of light."

    ...close enough.

A Meteore in Wynncraft is summoned 1.5 seconds after casting. This means that the Meteore has 1.5 seconds to travel to the surface of the planet, passing through the Troposphere, Stratosphere, Mesosphere, Thermosphere AND Exosphere.

In order for meteorites to appear, it must first be affected by Earth's gravity. The gravitational pull of the Earth extends 6378 kilometers from its surface (it technically extends infinitely, but any further renders it too small to have an effect).

So it can be understood that the Meteore spell accelerates astronomical bodies by a means of gravity amplification on a small area. The velocity of the Meteore to travel 6378 kilometers in 1.5 seconds would be 4252000 meters/second.

As a comparison, the speed of sound, Mach 1, is 340.29 m/s. This means a Meteore summoned by a Mage/Dark Wizard would be travelling at 4252000 / 340.29 = Mach 12397. That's 12397 times the speed of sound.

By the way, the speed of light is 299792458 m/s. This means that a meteore is around 1.4% the speed of light (that sounds tiny but it's actually extremely fast)!

    Conclusion:

Meteores are summoned by a means of gravity manipulation, possibly via the control of graviton particles. The acceleration of a Meteore causes it to hit speeds of Mach 12397 (4252000 meters/second) in less than 1.5 seconds.

An astronomical body travelling at this speed would cause a sonic boom in less than 0.0002 seconds.

Theoretically, a rock the size of a basketball landing at this speed would create a shockwave rivaling that of atomic bombs. Everything in a half mile radius would be completely disintegrated, objects in a 2 mile radius would completely shatter into debris and a Thesead Citizen standing 3 miles away would have his nose blown off.

And some say Mages arn't OP.

the thing is.... how come all da mobs can withstand the gravity aplification itself? :O shouldnt they get crushed due to the extreme gravity which is required to pull all those meteores to earth? ;)

This may be selective gravity application. This is a method only capable of being done by graviton particle manipulation. Gravitons are a particle that acts as a physical form of gravity. By manipulating these particles we can line them up with a vector - direction. However these particles are still under scientific research and are thus untested.

That's good an all, but you forget three facts

One the world of minecraft is about the size of Jupiter, which would give it stronger gravity than earth

Second, contredicting fact 1, is that the gravity is actually probably weaker. How els do you explain us jumping up one sleight meter.

Lastly, the meteor does not appear out of the sky. It appears about 10-20 blocks about the target. I would argue this would be some type of portal or teleportational magic.

    Still, great work

I would've thought the meteors would've appeared through a portal in space headed for the specific location in the overworld, but idk.

I'd like to know how Vanish, complete invisibility to the naked eye, works; if you plan on doing more like this.

With my current build my Ethereal deals meteore at about 10k damage, more than my Bob's mythic wand...

Hmm so 10k damage per meteore is not OP... Interesting.

I took the gravity of Earth as the enviornment of Wynn is habitable for humans, meaning the gravity must also be suitable. I make a lot of assumptions in my theories, none of this wynn science is set in stone!

Teleportation of meteors ate definitely a possibility. This would cause the meteor to undergo quantum entanglement, bonding with the quantum foam which exist literally everywhere in the universe as an energy-like substance that can 'warp' between points in space (barely touched quantum entanglement, I'll consult with my physics teacher sometime).

This requires a Mage to be able to detect, pinpoint and trigger quantum activity in a meteor in the vastness of space, possibily tens of thousands of kilometers away. I guess this isn't that far stretched if you compare it to obliterating several cities :3

A possible argument to support the theory of the Meteore actually travelling as super speeds would be that Mach 1000+ is way too fast to be observed by the naked eye. The image we see near the ground could be the afterimage of the impact, whose immense destructive power is suppressed by the surrounding gravitons, bending and refracting light around it to create that afterimage.

Definitely open for more suggestions on this series for the future!

Nah, it needs a spell called 'Rawb Banisher'. Then it would be fine (jk).

Wait if it is travelling at such high speed shouldn't the sonic boom deafens the enemies?

The sonic boom would have happened in less than 0.002 seconds, it would have completely diffused by the time it reached your ears.

I love this idea of a series ! Could you examine the physics behind some of the archer spells ? Like Arrow Storm or Escape
I want to do it myself but I suck at math :/
