Go into the alley

 

You decide to enter the inn. Inside, you take a look at your surroundings. The walls are wooden and aged, while the chairs and tables are pristine, made of jagged pieces of sheet rock. It was just 2 days ago that you were in a inn just like this one, but it feels like its been a entire month...

The barkeep is a burly old female dwarf, who looks like she has been frowning for the last 5 years. Your party walks up to her, and she makes a even deeper scowl, especially towards Syllarine.

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?

(The actual comic that this is a experiment for is reaching the stage where I actually start making the art for it, so I have been very negligent at my duties as GM. I am sorry.)

"Well, there goes my assumption."
I whisper to the group.
I turn my attention to the barkeep.
"Hi. My group and I was wondering, what's the quickest way to get to the capital, and we were hoping a lovely lady such as you could help us with directions."
I smile, and look at Rafin.
"And some of us would like a drink, apparently."

 

"Heh, I could go for a bottle.."
*BUUUURRP*
"Sorry.."

The woman stares at your party disapprovingly.
"And I don't suppose you have any money to pay for those beers would you?" She says, then pauses a moment and adds, "But the capital? Just how stupid are you? Everyone knows the Drow have held the capital for the past few decades. This is the last dwarven settlement IN these godsdamn mountains!"

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

 

I look back to the woman.
"Hm. Well, thank you for the news, but what's the quickest way to get to the capital? My group and I might want to go as far as we can before we get stopped."
I glare at Rafin and Ronan.
"And I honestly don't know if we have any money,"
I turn to the group.
"But if you're ordering a swig, you pay for it."

 

Sorry my mind slipped. I thought we were staying the night LOL. Nevermind on the beers.

 

"Well, I'll pay then.."
Ronan pulls out 2 coins from his pocket

Ok. Now that we are in the city let me actually distribute wealth. The bag of coins you received from the dwarf at the beginning contains 20 gold and 50 silver. 1 gold equals 100 silver. 1 silver equals 100 copper. Ronan will control the wealth until someone else decidedes to hold the money pouch.
(Remember that you can learn magic if you travel to the temples)

The old woman looks at the two silver, then quickly pockets it and grabs 4 beers. "Here you go, and technically, the quickest way to the capital would be through the royal tunnel. But I have no idea what shape that is in nowadays. The Drow must have some other method of transportation... From here to the capital is about a 8 day trip, so I would stock up on food if you are going to leave. Now that I am helping you in any way, if the army catches you they might think you are spies for the Drow..."

Your party decides to see what was up with that back alley first, then travel to the temples. As you walk into the alley, which is between a butcher's and a warehouse, you see there is a small courtyard where the buildings on the block just don't quite meet. A bunch of wooden pallets, stacked to form boxes, sit in the courtyard. A big cargo door to the warehouse sits slightly opened, with a red X painted onto it. There is a person just inside the doorway, and the door is positioned so you can only see their feet. Their shoes are big hiking boots, caked with mud.

"What do you want?" The person asks. Their voice is muffled, and you cannot determine the gender of the speaker. "My stock is low today, come back tomorrow" they add, a firm tone to the statement.

(Hey guys I would recommend talking to each other more often, it seems like decisions are being made without the party really knowing why. This is a rp)
