The main part of the build is the clock boots with +2 tier. Since they no longer have +2 tier available anymore, dont expect to get up to around 18k without it. +spell damage has an attack speed multiplier, so the higher the attack speed the more +spell damage effects Meteors damage.

 

Old clock boots still have 2 tiers.

It increases your attack speed as well as damage on SPELLS (from what they said I think thats what they meant)

Is 4/4s mana regeneration considered good? My intelligence is over 70 ATM (20+ from gears ID) at level 80 mage. Mana still runs out but can recover quickly. I was able to solo Bob and Wither Amadel.

And what is the amount of spell damage needed to deal 18k meteor damage? Currently mine is 564 spell damage and only deals 10k meteor damage.

I use Millenium, Jester accessories set and champion boots to maximise spell damage, with Ethereal to help me.

 

Use the Clock Boots, it will add an additional multiplier to your spell damage. Alternatively, there's a pair of level 82 unique boots called the Boots of Blue Stone that have an average of 125 raw spell damage. I find them all the time in the Canyon of the lost, shouldn't be too difficult to get!

 

What's the difference between the percentage and raw spell damage boost?

Does percentage boost multiplies the raw value?

Because even I use Pure, spell damage is Terrible.

Wait! Clock Boots give negative spell damage percentage, doesn't it make spell damage worse?

 

If only I could get a +2 tier attack speed now...

OK QUICK THING FOR ALL THEM PEOPLE ASKING ABOUT SPELL.

Firstly: the raw spell % (that is, spell damage from items such as pure, clock boots etc) is applied BEFORE raw spell damage (such as Millenium, soul signal, third eye and memento) so as a result, the pures damage is crappy because it only multiplies te damage on the wand itself, nothing else. And the base wand damage is pretty trashy.

Next: there's a hidden multiplier with attack speed. Essentially take ALLLL the damage you deal in total with a spell, then multiply it by rate at which you attack. So a normal attack speed is 1.7, fast is 2.3, very fast is 2.9, and super fast is 3.5

The attack speed multiplier DOES multiply raw spell damage. So the idea of this build is to take alllll that raw spell, multiply it by meteor spell damage and then further multiply it by the attack speed tier. Since a good third eye has 100+ spell, Millenium has around 250+, and jester has 300, that's 650 at a minimum for this build, which is multiplied by 400% (from meteor) and 3.5 (from super fast attack speed, along with a few other things from elemental damage, skill points, etc.

Good? We all sorted now? Sweet.

He said they don't have POSITIVE Spell damage, and that they do have POSITIVE attack speed. The negative spell damage barely affects this build.

 

Spell damage percentage doesn't have very much effect at all. Raw spell damage is better because it gets multiplied by a value related to your attack speed.

you completely remove all your spell damage
probably not a good plan

also just a random thought but wouldn't cancer + pure still allow you to cast spells with some decent kick to them?

 

Sort of? Although the base damage on pure is still trash

 

Yeah but if you had like a max spell dmg pure and a min -spell damage cancer it'd still do more damage than the average pure but have huge poison
