Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I'll follow your lead."
She grabs a lance that was affixed to her back. She points at you and Claire moves behind you.

 

I start going forwards and further towards the storm.

 

Gale winds push you away.
"You're my only lead. Show me where she was!" Rina looks flustered.

 

OOC: Oh right... XD
I fly back towards the Darklands and Runetrel. When I get towards the Lost Kingdom, I make sure to go round it.

 

Once you can see the coast, you see Kai roaring in shallow waters.
"Not a good sign. What other things are there to see? Aria loves sightseeing..."

 

"I prefer a broadsword anyways."
I say gesturing to my weapon.
"So, I'm going to continue the way I was going. See you when I get to Eras, I guess?"
Waiting for a confirmation, I start a motion like I'm going to run.


I see something fly over the sky.
"Was that..."

 

"So it seems we both are facing frustration with deities. Come, there is no more time to waste."
A bright flash of light and I am gone, yet you can still sense my presence somehow.... The dagger?

 

Deciding that you might be hindered on knowledge of where I'm going, I decide to further inspect the something that I saw fly.

It seemed...
familiar, somehow.

I run to the coast as fast I was going before. (As fast as I can)

 

As you run, you notice that, although it is dusk and quickly darkening, everything around you seems clear as day. Shadows recede from you, and you also seem to have a slight awareness of things you shouldn't be able to actually see, like a small rodent hiding under a bush. It seems that the dagger has slight magical properties.

@Enhanced_Human You both notice vines creeping out of the ground. While you can't see the source, you can see that underground, they form a net of sorts.

 

"Oh, how good it can be to see a friend."
I say, hoping that this is actually Ihra.

 

OOC: I'm not directly present at the moment, just fyi

You hear my voice.
"What is this energy? What's going on there?"

 

The vines creep up your ankles before sinking back down.
"Hey, you scared me!" Ihra's voice echoes from a distance.

Vines quickly move in to snare you. You can't seem to teleport in their presence.

The net is extremely wide. You can see a center point in the distance, something controlling this.

 

OOC: I'm not physically present at the moment, just in case that bit wasn't getting through. I've displaced a fraction of my magical power into that dagger; it allows me to focus in on 13's location. Without it, faraway objects would be impossible to sense/ teleport to; waaaay too many photons exist, locating anything too far away would be like searching for a needle in a mountain-sized haystack

 

You have a body. Be physically present somewhere on this world. Or somewhere.

 

"Well, there is the capital city, Fellak, which is just to the north of Runetrel. Beyond that, there are some mines to the north. Then there is the forest of Nyme to the north-west and finally, the Swamps of Decay to the east."

 

"So... Ah, she's spent years on open waters since she got bored of exploring the sunken part of the Lost Kingdom. She's probably interested in everything. Fellak sounds like the most reasonable guess on where she'd be."
Rina puts the lance away, but turns a bit pale as she looks towards the ground.

 

"What's wrong?"

 

Nighttime is very draining on my magical power, so I've been meditating near where I meet 13, conserving my power. Alerted by the powerful magic presence I sense through the dagger, I attempt to use it as a focusing point to summon an illusion clone to alert who- or what-ever is there to my presence.

 

"Um... I... I just have never been... landed... anywhere outside of Aurilon. It's, uh... kind of nerve wracking."
She tries to smile through it, but nervousness overpowers this.
"I hope she's okay..."

The clone attracts attention, but once a vine gets closer, whatever it is seems alerted to your real location. The vine still tries to snare the clone.

"I thought you were a spell." A young girl's voice echoes behind you.
