    it sort of feels like there aren't enough items to use certain builds, ESPECIALLY FOR MAGE. There isn't a single good earth legendary wand (excluding olux prized) there isn't a single good fire legendary wand that doesn't require another element that isn't water, AND THERE ARE NO EARTH/THUNDER WANDS! I thought the goal was to make it fine to play any build but it feels like Earth/Thunder Mages, and Water/Fire mages were just ignored.

    I was told that there is supposed to be one item for every few levels for each element for each class but when the only items you can find for one element (fire) are unique and maybe rare, and then you get thunder legendary wands, why go fire?

    It's kinda difficult to design items for elements meant to be opposites. Earth/Thunder really only has poison in common, and Water/Fire have pretty much nothing. There's like 1500 items but not every build on every class will be totally satisfied.

    Some of the better legendary ideas just happened to be thunder, I guess. But there's no point in going "Why bother?" about the lack of Fire wands. Fire's the defensive element, powerful weapons don't really fit that at all. Most of the time you won't find super powerful fire weapons. If you're going for a Fire build and expecting to deal a ton of damage, you're going to be dissappointed. Legendaries and Mythics aren't the only good weapons anyways. A decent Unique can last you like 5-10 levels.

    I know that, but seriously? Two fire legendaries, one with a strength minimum and the other with an agility minimum, no earth legendaries aside from Olux Prized, and ABSOLUTELY NO Earth/Thunder options?
    Water/Fire is so fun and so is Earth/Thunder but when you have no weapon options it ruins the fun. I have both and they just feel like water mages because there's no weapon to take advantage of their builds. I can't believe there is no Water/Fire Rare or Legendary called FROSTBURN.

    For the designing items point, here we go.

    If you want to use only legendaries throughout your playtime, you're going to have a difficult time. Not every build can be addressed, and especially not in the limited stock of legendaries. Legendaries are by far not the only good weapons, and I just edited my reply above to explain a decent amount. Builds that are completely oppositional will not have a lot of gear.

    I don't expect a fire legendary to be powerful, I expect it to exist, for one, and be based on fire stats. Average damage but good health boost and health regen and defence boosts.
    And to not require another element for no reason (looking at you Diablo)

    Yes, but you act like legendaries are the only good weapons, which is not true in the slightest. As I said, a good unique can last you several levels. And there are Fire legendaries, but there won't be a legendary for each build involving Fire. Uniques and rares are still very good and very much viable, but if you don't want to use the plethora of uniques and rares because you only want to use legendaries, that's your choice.

    I just find it odd that one fire legendary requires air and the other requires strength, and that there is 1 earth legendary compared to 848395 thunder legendaries (not to mention water but that's the go to mage element) I know uniques are good it just feels like a missed opportunity, and I'm still disappointed about there being literally no earth/thunder options without having two wands. Other classes have earth/thunder options.

    I think Tantibus is quite right. Legendaries do not especially mean a weapon is good, and I've found quite a few unique weapons that are better than Legendaries. A Legendary is essentially a weapon that's rarer and has more ID's, but a greater range. The same goes for mythics, but on a grander scale.

    The range of ID's is The amount of Good / Positive ID's to the amount of Bad / Negative ID's. Mythics have high good ID's, but also have high bad ID's to balance this. Unique's and Rare's tend to have a smaller range so you're less likely to encounter bad ID's.

    That's an exaggeration. Yes, there are more thunder and water legendaries than other elements. But this whole idea of "build equality" is just not going to be a thing. Not every build works for every class. Earth/Thunder is completely oppositional. Earth is about dealing a lot of damage very slowly, with a little amount of chance. Thunder is about dealing a relatively low amount of damage very quickly, with a lot of chance. The only trait they have in common is poison. And damage over time being a good portion of your overall damage is not good for a class that literally attacks with a twig. Builds that are completely oppositional are just going to be lackluster in the item variety department, especially if you're only taking legendaries into consideration.

    Yes it was an exaggeration, but you get my point. I don't expect a legendary for the most contradicting build ever, but I feel like a thunder earth unique was with eh normal damage and good poison like rot of dernel but a bit lower level would be really fun. You say that the item department for some builds would be lackluster, but that would still imply that those items exist. Which they don't for Earth/Thunder mage. And they do for earth/thunder for other classes

    Because Earth/Thunder is terrible for mage. Mage already has the lowest damage output, and a poison build would turn a decent chunk of your already low damage output into damage over time. This basically means you're doing hardly any damage. Earth also likes to give large debuffs to spell damage, and although thunder does occasionally give raw spell damage buffs, you're still likely to do less overall. This means that the most powerful part of mage, its spells, will also be reduced.
