Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"That was quick..." I mutter to myself. "Overboard?"
I examine your wounds (or whatever)

 

There's a clean cut across my wing. That seems to be the only physical wound.

 

I decide to just ignore it. "He'll deal, I guess. I don't want to be around healers right now." I think, teleporting far away and just waiting.

 

Vei connects with you telepathically... More forcefully than usual.

"Vesius just went dark. Where the hell did you bring him?!"

 

"I'm working on it." I relay back sullenly.

I teleport back to where Vesius is and... Teleport him back to the city gates, ordering a healer.

 

Some of the guards go pale.

Doesn't take long for the wound to convince a healer to hurry up.

Mending the wound was easy, but it doesn't change the fact that most of my blood isn't running through me.

"Goddess... Are they even still alive? I can't hear them breathe."

 

"They'd better be." The temperature spikes noticeably up. "I mean, if you can't do it, find someone who can. I don't care if you have to pump blood into him, just make sure he lives."

 

"But none of us know... I... I'll do what I can."
The healer breathes a sigh of relief and smiles at you. Probably means I'm still alive.

The spells she tries next doesn't seem to work.
"Hope you don't need him for anything anytime soon. I'm going to need to bring him inside, the best I can do is keep his vitals up and hope he recovers on his own. I don't know anyone else who would know how to accelerate the process... I beg your forgiveness." She bows.

 

"There's no need. Thank you." I teleport to the mountain peaks behind the city to just kind of watch and wait.

 

Is this open?

 

"I will just see if it begins looking for anything." I let it out of my hands, and it begins crawling in a direction.

 

I drop the acting voice.
"Sir, your uh.. heading in the wrong direction."
I point off to where Eras flew.
"He went that way.

Also, what's your fastest mode of transportation?"

 

As I'm carried inside by a group of guards, the town carries on as you'd expect a town to. Guards rotating shifts, morning and evening rushes to go to work and get home...
They don't even seem aware of your presence.

Four days later, some of the guards gather at the center of town. It doesn't seem like they normally do this.

They gesture east, then stand guard in that direction. A small group of them leaves the town and walks away from town, weapons drawn.

Not at the moment, I'll write that somewhere.

"Hey, I'm not usually one to judge, but...
...raising a dragon in a cave might have size restrictions." Riihs watches it as it (slowly) moves away from the entrance to the well.

 

"I last saw her at Runetrel, the port city of the Darklands. I told her not to go to Brisingr and Gargantuan because of dangers there, so she stayed in the Darklands and explored it. It seems that there was a hidden danger in the Darklands, unless Nyre was lying or trying to trick me in some way."

 

I shimmer and vanish, then re-appear, on your other side, walking in the other direction.
Sounding slightly embarrassed, I say,
"I, erm, knew that..."

I snap my fingers on the gauntlet-ed hand like I'm showing off, and a glowing dagger appears, attached to your armor somehow
OOC: Belt if you're wearing one, dunno.
It seems to give off an aura of purity.

"Keep that on you, that way I can catch up," I say. "Only use it as a weapon in case of emergency."

 

"Hmm... Maybe. I do have an open plain on top of one of the mountains though."

 

"I can arrange for you to meet our mother if she's still alive. Where are these 'Darklands' you mentioned?"

"As long as you can protect it. It is still vulnerable, and while the caves are safe, the field won't be nearly as so."

 

"Well, that can be organized." "Would a power field, like, in a radius of 5 kilometers help?"

 

"If you can manage that, that should suffice. I... I'm not sure how you'd manage that, but whatever works, I suppose."

 

"The Darklands are my kingdom. It's north of the Lost Kingdom. And yes, I would like to meet your mother."
