What Happens If You Rename Your Minecraft Character?

Will everything be resettet? or what happens?

Don't worry about it, nothing resets, and there's no back fires to it.
Just a new name

 

There is a glitch... If you change your username, you MIGHT get kicked out your guild. I'm not sure if it was fixed or not... And also, your friends won't know who the hell you are.

Okay thanks! i was once on a server who had Something like Wynncraft and when i renamed myself everything was gone D:

 

Inventories and what not are based off of UUID, which is unique to player and entity. Username does not effect UUID

 

What? There's a well-known glitch that happens with guilds. If you are in a guild a strange thing will happen because both your new and old name will be present in the guild list of members. This can be detrimental if you are the leader of the guild as you WILL lose whatever ranking you had in your guild with your new name rendering the guild leaderless.

Another thing that happens is that while your new name will have an unchanged friends list, your friends won't. On their friends list it will have the OLD name. They will have to readd your NEW name.
