A Question About Gm

Im sorry if this is a noob question
but i looked at the application form for gm and i realised that you dont need to know any plugin commands
are gms provided with a tool that helps them to create mobs and stuff?

 

Gms just make the ideas for new things and Jumla adds it. You don't need to do all the crazy coding.

If I remember, GMs make the "idea code" for mobs and quests, and Jumla codes them all in.
Not entirely sure, let's wait until a GM comments.

 

The GMs make mobs and quests with YML, some kind of a script.
Jumla made a plugin which reads the YML and create the mobs and quests from it.

Thats not true.
Jumla have better things to do, other than adding EVERY SINGLE MOB into the game. As I said, the GMs make the script for the mobs.

sorry for so many questions but do you learn it b4 hand or when your gm as the thing doesnt ask whether your proficient in it

 

You learn it as a GM trial.
On your trial you have to make a quest, mobs, items... So you have to learn and use YML.

The YML sounds complex...

 

It's nothing complex, I use YML quite often and it is very easy to use. All you need to know is to not use tabs, use something like Notepad++, etc.
I probably missed some things however you can manage from there.

No the code behind it...

 

It basically means if you're bad at redstone and codes in minecraft it's a low chance to get it because you need that KNOWLEDGE to become a GM. I had really cool ideas for quests but the thing is, I can't do redstone. I'm a minecraft nub.

 

Eh, learning how to code is fairly simple, it just looks complex. When I first saw Binary and Hexadecimal, I nearly crapped myself. After sitting down and looking at it, I could do problems swiftly, so don't worry about that (If you are at all).
