Flame wars aside, the whole thing with buffs and nerfs is that it's up to playerbase to adapt to it. If assassin got a nerf, then it's up to the player to adapt to it, change their strategies. Maybe a one element build isnt, good anymore, maybe it needs a two element build, or even three. From I can see, the whole thing assassin in PvP is that you have to turn invisible and rush the opponent, you cant play it like warrior any more. The strategy has changed with the class. It's not that assassin needs a buff, its that you need to change your strats.

 

In the Nether, staying hidden is a priority. Have you forgotten that the Sneak button exists? And that it hides your nametag? There are plenty of hidden nooks around the main 'arena' area near the portal for Assassins to hide in. Know the layout, and keep a sort of safe zone. Never lead your opponents there. If an Archer has Arrow Shield up, Vanish and unvanish. They will have just consumed most of their mana. Move in weird ways while Vanished, keep your particle trail all over the place. Play the evasive game until their guard is dropped, then act swiftly before they can react.

 

I as an archer can say I hate assassin's vanish image, when an assassin uses /armor in pvp and then vanishes with that, it consumes all of my mana attempting to kill the thing that's standing still.

 

He never asked for a buff, he was just pointing something out.

This is a great strategy sometimes it just feels a little unfair because of how fast other classes can run away.

 

Escaping via spells leaves your opponents stripped of mana, meaning they're easy pickings. Seeing as Vanish gives you speed 3, you should be able to keep pace with them as they run away.

i was linking the thread and it happened to be looking at your post, so it set it to a certain post.

 

Vanish deteriorates your mana as you run and if they used all their mana to run they would be way too far away.

 

I have 2 mana regen on my Assassin and(provided I don't sprint which really isn't necessary anyway under speed 3), I lose next to no mana even if I remain vanished for the entire duration.

 

Ok selvut idk why but your assassin has been seriously glitched, for quite some time now. Nobody else regens any type of mana during vanish. Mana regen from IDs does not apply. It's the same case as pre gavel, when your assassin would gain mana during vanish while nobody else would.

Point is that your assassin has far less mana issues than most assassins, which may explain why you and most of the community have largely different views about vanish

 

I am complaining about the default game setting, and im pretty sure you cant change that even if you get a perfect build. and please read the thread, i was talking about how assassin cant get away after the stun, not how bad assassin is.

because we ppl already got our assassin so high level and have done almost all the quests and dont want ti give up just yet

i feel deeply sorry for the people who chose assassin to play as and then level up them to really high and then finds out the damage is even worse than the other classes.

Again, I am doing just fine. I've recently reached Lv 80 on my Assassin, as it were, and I have experienced absolutely no issues. I was doing just fine even WITH the Spin Attack buggy as it was.

 

I miss glitchy spin attack. Glitchy spin attack was the fucking best. I sent qira outside the map with it and technically KOed her.

what if warrior's defense get to 60%
what if archer raw damage become worse than mage and cancel out the speed effect
what if mage become BG again
can you still accept it. i am pretty sure everyone cant.

you mages cant even adapt the mage BG now you tell us to adapt assassin AG?

Oh... i get it
so you basically sneak and get close to them and these will happen
1. you are out of mana
2. you deal almost now damage
3. you deal a lot of damage but right after you hit the enemy he reacted and used a spell and then one shot you as you have your armour value compensing the damage

you can literaly stand in high which no.one can touches you and simply spam AoEs.

yes i can catch up to them

not if they use escape, charge or teleport

WHEN i have mana regen 3 during a test and when i vanish, standing still, doing nothing, the mana still drains like crap

there is no difference from 3 mana regen or 0 mana regen

because you have somekind secret power to keep you almost not losing mana at all during vanish

M80, I'm a warrior. One of like, 12, that I've actually seen in all of Gavel. From a warrior standpoint, assassin has it way better with parkour, maneuverability, and self defense. A warrior's job is literally to run into the enemy and punch it a lot and hope you dont die. Assassin can sprint in there while invisible, land a ton of hits, then vanish and retreat.

All these people complaining about nerds and buffs and all that stuff - can't we just have fun and enjoy playing with other people? Maybe you should take a break and explore Gavel instead of attempting to run a marathon.

 

I don't know if it's just me, but my mana does not regenerate while in vanish like @Lesliep says.
