Welcome, friends, enemies, that creepy guy down the corner, to what I hope will awnser some questions.

I am sure many of you have heard or "The Cult". A group of theorists who work as a group, sending ideas around and figuring stuff out. You may have also noticed that we have been laying small hints here and there about who we are and what we do.

But recently something happened. A thread got released about lore-changing info for us theorists, and we were all very hyped. But we noticed something in the comments. Many people had found the info before but have not told us because they thought we knew.

At the time that happened we were actually talking about making a challenge to have people theorize about who we are. We have been told that closing our group off made people feel kind of alienated, and this new event is just proof we need to open out doors.

So, without further stalling, The Grand Theorists!

The group was made by me, but I was in no way the leader. Had a goal set in mind, but we figured that we did not have enough people to achieve that goal.

So we added @DarkDemonDragon
And @Rawb (still called 2016 at that time)

Now we have six people, meaning we could not add any more. But as time passed, we needed more. So Mular being our mod support (he really is the best mod ever) we added

@jpmrocks

And eventually we added @Devourer

And recently we have recruited @noelscrap

So there's goes all secrecy about who is in the group. We did extend a hand to some other people, but they declined.

So yeah. In privet we call ourselves "The Grand Theorists"

Somewhere along the line jpm made the cover-up calling the group "The Cult". He made a joke about sacrificing Rujala, and that's how that cover-up started.

Most recently I was informed that I was in charge, which was what I was trying to avoid. I wanted us to be all equal, but I guess I am the leader of the group now...

The point of the group was to make something we call "The Grand Theory". Basicly we take all the lore in the game, and make one giant final theory. One that ties up all stray info with no loopholes. Which is why we all got super hyped when we linked Ancients to Dern

basically from what I understand is you just announced a group that is closed and the groups motives are secret. what is the purpose of this thread.

Mind if i join, I do regard myself as a little bit of a theorist myself back in the heyday

 

My theorizing about Wynn is a bother, not enough resources, time, and this game still has much to expand on. It's like trying to put together a puzzle that is still in the making, you can put together some parts that fit, but you can't connect everything.

 

why not make a guild

Uh...you are starting to sound a bit like WynnExcavation. There is a term for it: crazed secrecy.

I'm just kidding. I understand this thread and the group. No disrespect meant. I love your theories and hope that this group finds out the truth of this game. Personally, I didn't know about any of the theory stuff that wasn't shared with the theorists. I am not even sure how that happened.

 

Same. That's why I want to make sure no more info slips past us. If I can manage to get the vote through for sharing the rest of the info, you will understand why we were freaking out so much on that other thread

 

To clear up confusion, we're trying to organize a lot of lore, and see where it fits. Bob, Qira, Dern, Yahya, Door of Time, Death, Dernel Jungle, Frozen Heights, anything with a story, we're trying to figure out exactly what it is, and essentially predict what will happen next. IE, The Follow Up Update right now has a lot of lore that we need for stuff, but we can predict it with info we are given already. Nilrem is some wizard who knew Bob and got a letter from him before he died. More than likely, Nilrem will be an important name going around in the Follow Up Update. This is also supported by the fact Salted said Bob will be a key character. Since the only thing we really don't know about Bob right now is HOW he died, Nilrem, the last person to really hear from him, would know.

We also try to tie loose ends together and see how that works. Sarnfic was sunk by the mages' council on Mage Island due to the Abysso Galoshes, a pair of Dernic boots. Here, you can tie in thing such as Dern being hella dangerous if the mages' council wants the island gone. But why would the island itself needs to be destroyed? Well there's a wand with some lore (cant remember which) that says a wand floated up from Sarnfic as it was sunk. This could mean that there was a fight between Sarnfic and the Mages' Council, possibly due to the boots corrupting up peoples' minds, and wanting to fight back (as I'm pretty sure any sane man would give up a pair of shoes to an extremely powerful mage force). There's also the thought of a powerful magic being used to sink the island, possibly the same thing that causes the house to float on Mage Island, the floating house in the Canyon of the Lost, as well as being the same kind of magic that causes the Sky Islands to fly.

Really, our big goal is to A) Organize and predict things lore wise, and B) Get people to think about lore more; get people thinking, to strive for knowledge, one of the things us as humans are extremely known for doing throughout time. Hell, I'm currently terrified of going to Llevigar due to how much lore research I've delved into, but most folks think I'm nuttier than squirrel poo. Really, Organization, and Thinking.
