So 9/7 wiped it out?

 

Ummmm...My theory:
The power was in the crystals. The Eye was The Eye Of Blood (lvl 72 Eye of the Storm) and also, the fragments of the map to find this place are found by following the eyes. Eyes, eyes... The cultists from Eye of the Storm found the eye and went insane from it. The eye is the cause of all darkness (corruption, decay) and there will be an endgame quest to defeat it to diminish the darkness's power. @SPYROHAWK

 

That... actually sounds like it could work. I mean, the Eye was said to come from Dernel Jungle.

But we can't blame the eye for everything. Decay is linked to cosmic magic, corruption was made by dark and light fighting, darkness and desolation we are still experimenting with

 

Now, this brings up an interesting point. Who says we can't? What if the Decay and corruption are different forces controlled by the same entity? Like in a war two different units both with the same job, but each with its own strengths and weaknesses. To quote what you said a while ago "the admins do and say everything for a reason." What if everything in Wynncraft from this, to the Decay and corruption, to Yahya, to Bob and Nilrem, and everything between is interconnected? Things that didn't make sense are finally beginning to piece together. Pathways we closed long ago may open again. The community will circle around the truth, making theories, Easter egg threads, and random conversations. And eventually I believe it will all link up. Someday everything will make sense. We are only scratching the surface on what we could know. I know that there are a lot more Easter eggs in Gavel, that may help us. We just need to keep searching.

And that's the closest thing to a excited rant I have written on the forums.

Nah. I just get caught up in the moment. By "community" I mean the people who care a lot about lore. I mean, look at Gale's Tomb. That thread had 80 something pages of people searching for the tomb. Not everybody here cares about the lore, but some do. And those will be the ones who look.

Actually, this Eye being brought up has a lot of solid evidence. While very scarce, anytime an Eye has been shown, usually some kind of evil power is brought with it. Whatever happened in this Ancient City, dude got his eye de-eyed or something, possibly yanked out. Which would tie in the Eye from EotS, as it's said to come from Dernel Jungle. Whatever created this Eye is possibly the true master behind all this stuff, but it could be one entity or dozens of them. The eye is one gate to them (literally, summoned a gosh darn demon!).

 

Remember the Door of Time? Maybe it will finally factor into this!
