I want to ask if the "Brain Smasher" is better or the "Albakaya" (It is weapons for the mage)

    Weapon stats are attached below.

Only you can decide. I would take them out for a test run on innocent villagers. To see how much damage is done by normal attack or by spells casted. If you like the higher numbers, go with that. But keep testing them in different situations.

Also if there are regen or steal stats, i would see how fast and how much the health or mana is regained. Some wands hit slow (slow attack) and some others faster - depends on your play style.

Also choosing which weapon to keep depends on your skill point allocated in which elements. If you invest most of your skill points in Earth and Fire, and maybe a third element, the weapon with Earth Damage or Fire Damage stats will benefit from your skill points in that element.

Someone else can better explain the elemental attributes, or you can find a few guides posted by several members on the forums... I can't remember by whom or thread title.

Tbh, i keep a 4-5 different wands handy for different elemental dmg or stat strengths. All because some Mobs and bosses have different elemental weaknesses and strengths.

I suggest you use both, then you can cover fire and earth. Depending on which you like more damage or attack speed then pick what ever one you like more to basic attack with.

Well, at least you're only level 20....
By the looks of it, you've used points in strength? Let me guess, you put half in strength and half in... probably defence.
This isn't always the way to go. Don't always go for the highest damage and health possible. This is certainly good for something like warrior but mage? Not really.
Basically, skill points affect the sort of skill build you get.

Earth - High damage, slow everything else, more melee than spells. Also gets things like poison and life steal
Fire - High health, high health regen, slightly slower than usual. Also gets things like explosions.
Water - High EVERYTHING which says mana or spells, normal speed, less damage, very spell based. Water damage also boosts your heal spell.
Thunder - Fast attack speed, good mana related things, very random damage though. You may get any ids with this.
Air - High speed, low damage, usually good spell damage though. Doesn't usually get many extra things though.

So, some elements stack well together while others don't.

What do I use for mage? I use as much water as possible to boost everything with mana, which is useful, air to boost my spell damage even more, and a bit of dexterity to give a bit more mana steal and things like that.

Of course, all of these also depend on the items you use. You could go all out in water but your spell damage would not increase unless you use something with the id. But because of skill requirements, intelligence, which is water based, would unlock weapons with water-based ids. Eventually you might get a weapon like Lament, or maybe Pure. If you went down the defence or strength skill path, you might end up with a weapon like Monster or Gaia.

It really depends on what you want, but if you plan on getting to a high level which is at least 65 (the level of Pure), I would recommend looking at the mythic gear thread. It shows all of the mythics. Remember, there is maximum of 198 skill points. Think of a good level 100 build and then check to see if you can use at least one mythic. If you can't, you may want to change it. Or if not, you could always settle for something like Bob's Mythic Wand or the Hive Infused Wand and use powders on them (when they are released again, and the new powders will boost elemental things). Or maybe even Empire Builder?

But if you want one definitely good skill/element for mage, then I would say intel/water. It is pretty much designed for mage, since it boosts heal and spell damage and things like that. But again, it is your choice.
