    Basically, the head engineer thinks you're the electromagnetic expert sent to restart the machine.

    Well this is how a job works usually. If someone doesn't show up, and someone else DOES show up claiming to be able to what the other guy did and does it, he get's paid. Why should I be ashamed? It wasn't even MY job and I did it.

    If I remember correctly he should be right at the top of Llevigar on the right side, near where the clock is.

    He believes it because it is pretty much true. There are several easter eggs for quests. For example, there is an easter egg quest, which isn't even in the quest book, where in the area of Beyond the Grave you gain a level, but then Death removes it.
