It's not like I don't want to do anything about it, but if there really was a rule to ban holders of untrustworthy auctions, it's going to be really hard to enforce since people can freely edit threads.

Yes but what if someone says 'auction ends when bid is high enough' and then changes it to 'auction ends in 3 days'. Do they get banned?

 

I've decided to just go scam a nub instead of spending an absurd amount. I mean i was ready to spent 20 but jesus this is going slow and that other person is prob going to try and outbid me. I'm good and content at this point. BUT PUT AN END TIME NEXT TIME

Then that's the other thing. Week long auctions, another guy did the same thing when I asked him and ofc ended it when nobody was bidding. That's a way of getting around not having an end time, but at the same time is the same thing. In essence you stop the auction when you meet your amount, but when it's a week long you also stop it when you meet your amount or just hold until the week ends.

 

You can try to inquire with an admin, but personally I don't see how this will make the community any better. The community mas as well become more toxic if people were getting strikes for marketing. At the end of the day if you don't put an end date it just makes it an incomplete auction, not an illegal one. My thread was meant to get people to reflect on themselves, not to try to ban it.

 

Like, it would be a very uninvolved control on the market, just things like increasing the buyout and such wouldnt be allowed. Whatever, just opinions.

 

Guys can we move this somewhere else? I really would not like a flame war here. If you guys are THAT Determined, make a conversation and argue there. But please, I don't want this to get locked.
