i posted the above post with the SOLE purpose of finding out what happened. I am very glad that redx475 answered my question :D

However, most posts on the thread were not as positive, the main topic on the thread became about the fact i used "mod" . Its a mistake on my part definitely but i have not come to believe that our community was built of individuals who have absolutely nothing good to say and will take every chance to criticize . The individuals who posted about the "mod" thing told me i was wrong but did not say a single word about what was right, a statement that wouldve corrected the mistake .
Perhaps its just a result of human nature in which we do not compliment people when they please us but we have all the ill things to say about a person when they displease us. Should i just accept this and let the water take its course? let the water drown the words of appreciation in which the human spirit desires? Should i just learn to be motivated by selfish criticism that hold no intention of helping to correct the problem?
Or should we learn to bite our tongue when inpatient words come ? Learn to show our appreciation for people and let them know that we love what they do. Bring others attention to wrongdoings in a much more subtle and friendly way. Should we learn to be understanding and try to see things from another persons standpoint as well as our own ? Should we do all these uncostly things that only have great value once they are given away? Do we wish to brighten anothers day as well as our own? A positive approach to conversing with others is a two way street , it doesn't just benefit the recipient . The one who gave it reaps plentiful gain too.

Thank You for taking the time to read my "rant" . To be honest , even i myself am not completely positive most of the time. As a result of writing this post, I too have decided to be more understanding of others. Thats the hardest part of preaching i guess :P . "If you preach , you have to live your preaching"

I agree. One comment is enough. I've seen countless threads like this bombarded with criticism. Someone didn't know the Hive existed, so they suggested something like it and got shitstormed. I personally got shitstormed for suggesting a search bar when I couldn't see it on mobile. I believe that if you find one comment saying the criticism you were going to do, that should be enough.

 

People like being pedantic and end up coming off as rude. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Im usually "mean", but I just live by "if what I said genuinely hurt you, you gotta fight back" kinda thing. I mean, it really shouldnt bother you.

 

I actually thought about posting about the "mod" mistake, but didn't. I did get a "pissed" reaction in my head, though, and I am sorry that I am unable to think in the perspective of people who simply do not know.
Luckily, as I said, I did not make a post. It would've not had been much better than what you already got.

 

That is why i posted this, people are usually nice and kind at heart but they dont show it because
1. They think that people should just shrug it off because they add "jk" at the back
2.Being a dick usually gains you more attention. Have you ever seen a nice comment and commented back saying"thats nice of you"? . However , when someone insulted you, you probably replied.
3.Their live's are miserable and they think that pulling others down will elevate them somehow

Despite all that , we should not blame people for being bad or even evil. For they became what they are because of circumstances. You are human because your parents are human. If your parents are horses you're probably a horse too. These things are usually beyond our control and we deserve very little credit for them. If you were in Al Capone's shoes perhaps you would've done what he did. Perhaps this post can help them get up and i do encourage you to try :D . When you do become a better person , you deserve the credit! I just sit here and post stuff, you did the work.

Good job on this post! You see noobs get criticized a lot when they try to make a suggestion for the first time,and then there's almost nothing done to help them no? Just me? And then they get depressed, not ever touching the subject again when they could have made good posts.

 

Well, @redx475 is quite the server guy. As far as I am aware, he is among the only ones around, unless Mazen does stuff, too.

 

I'm the only server guy right now. Jumla knows how to do some stuff but not how to troubleshoot problems.
