The Dwarvern War is a war only subtly hinted throughout the game.

"The Doguns: A now critically endangered species of humanoid living magma. This race fell victim to the Dwarves war.." - Wynncraft Twitter

A spear made from a tooth of the Dogun god. The god was killed by the dwarves:

That's not much information, so I guess I'll have to find hints from other fantasy stuff, because if Grian is going to get inspiration, that's where he'll get it from. Note that I won't be using the below info for the theory, but it's a really good read. \/

In the Elder Scrolls series (I'll just be talking Morrowind mostly) the dwarves (aka Dwemer) are a 'steampunk' sort of race that has advanced technology. They metal and magic, a great combination for all things fantasy. They lived mostly underground. Like Wynncraft, they used metal forged with flesh, just like the Wynncraft golems.

A war they had was the Battle of Red Mountain (which wasn't a war, really)
"The mechanized army of dwarves has successfully repelled the invasion of the old god and his demon army. But it is said that the returning warriors have brought seeds of corruption with them"

The war against an old god sounds like the Dogun god we hear about (see Hints above).

As for similarities with other fantasy games, the dwarves were "mechanized" just like in the Elder Scrolls series.

That's all the info/similarities I have regarding the Dwarves to try to get a sense of who they really are and what the Dwarvern War was.

Now, there is no theory really. We know too little about the dwarves. Just treat them like the ones in LotR (which was the main inspiration for Wynncraft) for now.

They really hate the Doguns, though.

(This theory is incomplete due to lack of evidence, feel free to comment more findings/speculation)

Thats Elder Scrolls, this is Wynn. Two different games, m88. And Actually, the dwemer aren't elves, as the one little sphere that needed elven blood only needed high elf, dark elf, bremen, falmer, and orc, the five elf races.

Something to add, some dogun are exiled, and passive. Also, it seems there are two dogun camps in Molten Heights.

the daggers lore doesn't have to be about the dwarven war. its possible that the slaughter of Garaheth and the Dogun-Dwarf war are two different incidents.

    BRUUUUUUUUHHH

To open the dwemer sphere in which the Oghma Infinium is locked you need dwarven blood but considering they're extinct you get blood of the still alive elven races.

The name Dwemer already says enough, and there's no such thing as 'bremen', it's bosmer.

@MarkedForDeath May have already schooled you, but I already did the +quote, button before reading his comment.

but the Translation for TES Elven names: Altmer High Elf, Dunmer Dark Elf, Falmer Snow Elf, Orsimer (Orc), Bosmer Wood Elf, and Dwemer Deep Elf. Mer simply means elf :p
