I played the game for a very long time, and I did make quite some progress. (Except for the demon levels)

So why not make a guide if there are any GD noobies out there?
(Pro GD players here, pls don't hate if I'm wrong with anything)

This is a general guide to Geometry Dash, explaining gameplay and the how-to's completing most of the official GD levels.

    So let's start...

Basic Stuff you need to know

    How to jump?
You tap on your screen (App) or press Space Bar if you're playing on PC, duh.

    ...that's about it.

    Modes in the game

    • Basic Cube
    • Spaceship (first encountered in Stereo Madness)
    • Upside Down Mode (first encountered in Dry Out)
    • Ball (first encountered in Cycles)
    • Mini Mode (first encountered in Clutterfunk)

    • UFO (first encountered in Theory of Everything)
    • Split Screen (first encountered in Hexagon Force)
    • Kite Dart (first encountered in Blast Processing)
    • Robot (first encountered in Geometrical Dominator)
    Lol...wtf do those mean?

    Well,

Basic Cube is just the default mode.
In Spaceship mode, you hold down on screen/SB to fly and avoid obstacles n such.
Upside Down can be a killer if you're not familiar with it. Everything is reverse! [APPLIES TO ALL MODES]
Ball enables you to switch gravity by tapping once. Can also be a killer if your timing is not sharp.
Mini Mode is well...just Basic Cube mode, but miniaturized. Small, but deadly. [APPLIES TO ALL MODES]
UFO is a simple mode, it's like Spaceship, but you have to keep tapping to keep your UFO in the air. Not so frustrating, but upside down UFO is...gg.
Split Screen may be a punch to the face when you first experience it, but the concept it's relatively easy. You focus on one of the objects, that's it, since the other twin copies your movement.
Kite Dart is OK in normal speed, but it's demon in 2x or 3x speed. Simple concept too-you hold to go up, release to go down. The trail is always in a zigzag shape.
Robot is pretty new to GD, it was added at the end of last year. This little prick has boosters-you hold to "fly" up and release to descend.

    Yeah...hope you understand anything.

    Level Guide

    • Stereo Madness, Back on Track, Polargeist...not gonna say anything bout those. Those levels are very straightforward, doesn't take an idiot to figure out how.
    • Dry Out (Medium)
    • This is where you first meet upside down mode. Others are relatively simple.
    • Base After Base (Hard)
    • This is the easiest level to get all 3 coins in my opinion. Apart from the slightly more difficult upside down part, it's an OK level.
    • Can't Let Go (Hard)
    • You really need the music to help you in this one, especially the upside down part near the end. I was stuck there for a week.
    • Jumper (Harder)
    • The name represents the level itself. You jump a lot, there are A LOT of traps, but the music is nice :]
    • Time Machine (Harder)
    • If you hate 3-spike jumps, I advise you to quit Geometry Dash right now. This level is the ultimate 3-spike hell for rookie players, I completed Cycles, xStep, ToE and Electroman Adventures before finishing this...
    • Cycles (Harder)
    • This is where Ball mode comes into play. Level itself is NOT THAT bad...apart from more 3-spike jumps, of course.
    • xStep (Insane)
    • First insane level. If you haven't noticed, the non-insane levels aren't that "colorful" compared to the levels after Cycles. This marks the start of the real GD experience. Level itself was ez...I completed it while pooping.
    • Clutterfunk (Insane)
    • Fuck this level. Fuck it. I'm stuck at 86% and I have harder levels than this completed. Mini mode comes into play here, and the amount of jump pads and jump orbs are too damn high. Should've been a Demon level lmao
    • Theory of Everything (Insane)
    • UFO starts in this level. Level itself is quite a challenge, I spent over 1000 attempts. The main traps in ToE are the 3-choice pathways for UFO near the end of the level.
    • Electroman Adventures (Insane)
    • My most favorite level here. Nice music, straightforward level gameplay and very little traps. The only difficulty that most of you may have is the zigzag ball mode part very near to the end of the level, at 90% or so.
    • Clubstep (DEMON)
    • Won't say anything, didn't even complete this level.
    • Electrodynamix (Insane)
    • Didn't complete this level too.
    • Hexagon Force (Insane)
    • Just finished it 3 hours ago in the toilet. Double speed Upside down spaceship and the ultra-slow spaceship parts near the end are the main killers. Coins are relatively easy to get.
    • Blast Processing (Harder)
    • Should've been Insane difficulty, mainly due to the Kite Dart mode and the invisible flashing block at the end. An OK level nonetheless.
    • Theory of Everything II (DEMON)
    • Didn't complete this too. The invisible spaceship at 15% killed me everytime.
    • Geometrical Dominator (Harder)
    • A LOT of traps. Invisible jumps, black things trying to eat you, invisible spikes, moving blocks, you name it. Keep your eyes sharp here.
    • Deadlocked (DEMON)
    • I...won't even talk about it.

So yeah, hope you enjoyed this guide. I'm not the best GD player, but it's still helpful.

Allow me to fill in the data on the levels that you didn't complete:
    • Clubstep: The most punishing level in the game, with a nearly uncountable number of traps and difficult sections. The hardest parts are by far the rocket sections, which feature many gravity portals and and tight spaces. If you complete this level, then you have a lot of patience.
    • Electrodynamix: Fairly straightforward in layout, but nonetheless very challenging. This is the first level to feature triple-speed flying, with two very tight flying section right at the end of the stage. Requires as much focus as you can muster.
    • Theory of Everything II: The level has many tricky sections that require perfect memorization of the stage's layout. The hardest part is by far the rocket section near the end of the stage, simply because of how small the space is. Not as hard as Clubstep in my opinion, but a significant challenge nonetheless.
    • Deadlocked: Once you master the two triple speed wave sections of this level, it is fairly easy. It includes some tricky flying combined with portals, but with practice these can easily be overcome. Also features dragons shooting lasers at you, so have fun with that.
