I've been there, but I don't remember a torch that high. Probably worth a visit.

As always, be wary of using that map. The angle creates deep shadows.

Spoiler: Canyon Map

Use this map for exploring The Canyon. That area is a back-door into Aldorei.

 

The issue with the image provided is that you can't view caves.

Im Sure it's just a coincidence that Cinfras and Letvus Airbase just happen to be shaped like a Bow and Arrow.

That Gale was an Archer, and the Airbase is basically (literally) a Hollow mountain-cave that starts really low (just below sea level) and rises to about the height of mountains 138'y on highest roof.

I don't minimap, so I never would have noticed this. But to think that Selvut's Tomb shaped the entire Hub of Gavel? wow.

Edit: Didn't notice that you found a map in-game. Still wouldn't have noticed it!

The map is found west of the Cinfras gate underneath the archway. You don't need a minimap to see birdseye views of Gavel.

I put that on this thread too. Look up about 5 posts above yours.

Here are some more reasons Gale's tomb is in the Letvus air base. First off, it's named after Selvut, the creator of Gale's tomb (Letvus rearranged=Selvut). Second, its air based ( its an Air Base). Gale was an air archer. Third, there are high mountains right next to it. Fourth, the mountains' bases were probably overlooked earlier when people were initially looking for Gale's tomb (prior to my theory about the mountain bases). Fourth, (mentioned above) Cinfras/Letvus air base is shaped like an arrow (Gale's weapon of choice).

I wonder if Cinfras and Letvus ab (short for air base) being a bow and arrow on the map is only a major coincidence. If not, congrats Selvut for making the coolest clue ever!
