Ultimate Build

UPDATE: this build works for any class, you just replace the weapon with a different class weapon with fast attack speed. An assassin with a near exact build (had soul signal) just dropped a 27k multihit and a 55k smoke bomb. He did both to me and to some cinfras villagers.
A warrior friend dropped a 16k uppercut on some cinfras citizens, which oddly did 20+k to me.

Now, the title may seem a bit arrogant, and it is! But, you'll see why, soon enough :D
Let's hop straight into it! I believe this build is the most powerful one out there so far, possibly except for a fatal build.

I would also like to note that the level requirement for this build is 89, if you don't use the hive wand.

Spoiler: Helmet

The helmet is the third eye (of course) with its high spell damage and mana regen, its an obvious staple piece for mage ;)

Spoiler: Chestplate

This is a somewhat unique choice, with millenium. I'd rather use it instead of soul signal. This is because although it has 1300 less health and 30 less spell damage, it doesn't require 40 dexterity to use, and as a result i can put even more into defense :)

Spoiler: Leggings

Another interesting choice, the greaves of veneer. Essentially, I use them for higher health, in order to not get killed due to low health from the boots and chest plate. It's a very nice generic pair of pants that provide a very large health bonus.

This is a fun choice :D The clock boot's increased attack speed MASSIVELY buff damage, and really help make this build insanely powerful. Although the health is low, it's insanely powerful. A staple of this build. Also, credit to both @Enderman1234 and @Ohyeah and @MarkedForDeath for the clock boots idea, I was an idiot not to use this from the start.

Spoiler: Ethereal

This is the weapon that I currently use, and I deal 18k meteors with it. It's a very powerful weapon, with 11,000 neutral damage and as a result a very good choice for boss fights.

Spoiler: Lunar Spine

This is a more powerful weapon for this build, and should probably be used. However, I don't have it and I'd rather not spend cash on a temporary weapon xD I'm betting you could get another 2,000 damage with it.

Spoiler: Hive Wand

This is by FAR the best wand for the build, dealing even more than the other two, with the same attack speed. However, the main drawback is its level 100 requirement :/ gl hitting it! I plan on using this wand once i level up more. I'm hoping for over 20,000 damage with this wand, and probably at least 15,000 neutral damage.

Of course, the perfect ring for this occasion is the jester ring. With the high spell damage afford by the set bonus, combined with the skill points, these rings are the perfect items for this build.

As usual, this here would be the jester bracelet. Another stat buff, combined with set spell damage and some poison to set off mana steal makes this bracelet perfect!

Of course, last but never least, the jester necklace. Its set bonus, combined with a VERY nice 2/2 mana steal greatly benefits the build, allowing far more spell spam.

And here we are, the stats behind it all! The numerous points provided by millenium, third eye, greaves of veneer, and jester gear really help out the build, in order to have insane stat distributions.

This build focuses on dropping out insanely high damage, while still maintaining low spell cost and a solid defense. Essentially, an all-around powerhouse build :D
With 18,000 damage meteors, 3 mana meteors, and 71.5% defense with 9.3k health, its a crazy build. The solid mana regen combined with low cost teleports allows for solid mobility. Although the health is quite low for an endgame build, the extreme defense will by far make up for it.

interesting choices, I'm a Mage oriented person and I'm not sure this is the best combination, but it's definitely the most resources and level friendly!

What attack speed buff items do we have? I only know about the clock boots and mummy's rag.

 

Not to stomp on your parade or anything, but I have a friend who can deal 25k meteors (though he is using a mythic :P)

Is he using pure or fatal?
I know that pure can get some insane damage, and although fatal can go even higher it's far less accurate/consistent

What would you say is a better combo? (Excluding mythics which are always insane)

 

Cancer has like +10 average
Tauras has -10 average (yikes)
Then there are weapons with boosts like Sandstorm and Stylist's Scissors

 

I believe there's a pair of leggings that went up for sale in the trade market which also have a tier of attack speed

Although I wasn't aware of millenium, that could be useful to put the 40 points into air instead for the build I was planning.

 

Eh :/ I guess. it's an... Interesting complication.

So essentially

My pure build came out first, with third eye, soul signal, no pants, memento, pure and full jester.

Then her build came out with third eye, soul signal, (don't remember the pants) clock boots, lunar spine and random damage increasing accessories, with a note to use jester once it's fixed.

Then this build came out, with the above mentioned gear.

So you could say that I texhnically stole the boots, helmet, and accessories from her, while she in turn technically stole the helmet, chest plate and accessories. However, the main issue with that is that third eye and jester gear are so insanely good for Mage.

Easentially, it's true that I used the clock boots. Not the other stuff, though. I mainly based this build of a combination of my old pure build and the clock build.

 

Sucks that 100% reflection or thorns destroys this build

Sadly :/ but hey, I soloed qira in under 3 minutes with this, so it's a pretty nice build for PvE

 

Where did you get that Third Eye? It has such a high mana regen.
