Guide How To Kill (almost) All Mages In Wynncraft.

I have a strategy of teleport so they can't hit you, and cast meteor. Fire/earth damage for all of you btw. A bunch of heals in the mid work too though. Basically, you don't kill me at the start, it's gonna be a long battle...

 

Well, I'm a mage but I'm going to help you with one small detail.
Assassins have spin attack and spin attack, at a higher level, removes negative effects. So yes, ice snake doesn't work very well.
Now for how to kill warriors:
1. Stay away from them.
2. Spam meteors until they die.
3. If they somehow get to you, and this is only if you are the least strategical mage in the world, then teleport away and heal if you were damaged and repeat.
Archers:
1. Show your ultimate power and force them to retreat.
2. Retreating using escape, which is how all archers I fight retreat, is the worst thing an archer can do in this situation. Just fire a meteor as they use escape and they'll just make themselves sitting ducks.
3. Now, there is that slight problem: arrow storm. Simply don't go within 10 blocks of the archer. If they come close to you, teleport away or, if you are really good, teleport behind them. That blinds them and it is quite confusing for them as well.
Assassins:
1. Now we have the tricky archer out of the way, you need to fight the assassin. There is only one problem with assassins: they are mana hungry. When they use vanish, then use your ultimate weapon: the 360icesnake. Didn't I say earlier that they aren't affected by the ice snake because of spin attack? Well, the point is to make them visible, not to damage them or slow them down.
2. Stay away from the assassin. The only way they can kill you now, unless you actually go near them, is by using smoke bomb. If you don't want to be hurt by smoke bomb, then don't get cornered. Fight the assassin into an open space or at least lead them to one.
3. Spam meteor like you did with warrior. The knockback aftereffect from the meteor at least should knock them into a corner or knock them into another meteor. If this happens, it will be easy to finish off. If this doesn't happens, they will die to a rain of meteors anyway.
But of course, mages have that one annoying thing which even they themselves struggle to defeat. What is this, you ask? Mages. Here's how to fight mages:
1. Think through your spells. Ice snake is completely useless when fighting other mages because of heal, and the heal will help them SO MUCH anyway. But one thing will. First, get into an open space.
2. Now you will have to fight very hard. Teleport around them and fire meteors ANYWHERE. Then try to trick them into either following you into a meteor or teleporting into one to avoid you.
3. If a meteor does hit you, just heal. But make sure that the knockback doesn't corner you. If you get cornered, teleport out of the way.

But of course, you need to know what to use. Well, I'm nowhere near endgame yet so I couldn't tell you the exact build you might need. But go for as max intel and get at least lots of agility. After that, either use as much agility as you can or use the remaining skill points on other skills for a few extra bonuses. I use a bit of dexterity since it fits the item builds I try to go for but it is your choice what you want to use.

This was kind of pointless to read, mostly simple tips that you would catch onto VERY early in the fight. This armor is ENDGAME (not a majority of players i would assume) and it is ARMOR- of course no-one will
Use the exact same set. Outsmart your foe, win, and explot any weakness you find. Thats all their is to it.

i never thought this day will come... guys! somehow mage became the most annoying class to deal with! i was never so proud good job wynncraft!

 

I've never said that all mages would wear them, it's more of 2 examples of the common armor mages wear, which is intelligence gear that decreases thunder defense.

I've included these tips in my thread since when I was dueling with mage with multiple other classes, they were pretty ignorant to some obvious strategies that can be used to cripple the mage in a fight, such as the burning ground for assassins. The endgame armor is just an example I came up with of what types of armor most mages would wear without a real second thought. Most mages have negative thunder defense and it would be wise to use thunder damage against them, rather than the weapon or element they specialize in, that will most likely be resisted (except for thunder).

Interesting... a mage that doesn't use water. Good luck not using water.

(also iirc only like me and sanae run warrior in pvp, part of sanae's tactic is to spam charge and I spam charge because I literally can barely move if I don't)

 

we arent the scummiest class, now thats just rude.

 

This is cool and all, but why do you want to kill us mages?! We can heal you guys, help get you out or stop (once ice snake works) bad situations, and help you find where to go by getting the high ground!

 

Assassin is op if you know how to use it...

 

I made a deal with the potion merchants. They would give me a share if we killed all the mages that put them out of business.
