    Didn't he just use a program to get the world in the render? Isn't the shading the hard part to do?

    @vulplus is right. I use mineways. It's a program used for importing a Minecraft world to 3D printing and rendering. It's mainly for selling/showcasing your builds in real life by 3D printing them. It can also be used for rendering.
