I dont think I can, its the minecraft one that changed a lot, a scrambled letter?

 

Did you see my attempt?

"bèon unmedome" = being unfit (or "are unworthy" when translated literal)
"blódhræ" = to spit blood (blód-hrǽcan would be the infinitive, "blódhræ" imperative singular)
"þurhrædeaþ" = þurh- /through/ + rædan /to read/ (þurhrædeaþ would be 3rd-person singular or plural or imperativ plural, but there´s no context)

The only problem is "sect". Old English Translator says "following words" or "a king the land" but both seem really not typical for Old English. I think this is the hard part because retranslating it when an Online Translator translates it literally or shows something wrong is a fucked up hard part. :D
e.: Just to clarify, "follow", "word", "king" and "land" don't have an etymological connection to something remotely like "sect". :D

Yeah, that was my first guess. Something like "sect", like a cult. But I think that's what @Tantibus said was wrong. :D

 

I think by this point you guys have gotten all the right words but just haven't put them together yet.

Wait a second, this could be two things, Bob was too sick to fight (or die, depends on who is spitting blood), or we're literally being told to not overthink the words

 

It's neither (although that second one would've been hilarious)

 

Unless the order is what is wrong (some languages do change verbal order) and it says something like "The man, being too unfit to fight, read over these words" or "The man, being unworthy to die (maybe something made him change his morals?) read over these words"
I really dont know any more, this is getting hella complicated for my walnut sized brain

 

I feel like what it's saying basically means
'Those who are unworthy cannot read through this book'

That last one seems right. Bob, being unworthy to die (more worthy to live) read over these words (wrote this book)

If that really is it just saying Bob wrote his diary that would be really depressing

But then I would really want to know what Tantibus entered into the translator to get something so different. :D

 

You could be right! Imagine worth as intelligence. Only us smart enough to try and succeed in de-coding the message actually know what it says! It is a bit disappointing, but it's almost like the devs knew us theorists would try to de-code it

No but legit, could we translate those words one by one to see if they fit something close to the original message? Or just make it easy and have @Tantibus wiegh in?
