Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Amethyst is a jewel found underground. To me, better looking than jade, ruby, emerald, or other jewels which are also found underground. As for me being a Mecha, I guess you could call me basically half robot half human, although I'm pretty sure I'm more robot."

 

OOC: Is Sparky rigged to be able to talk, or am I going with normal dog behavior?

He runs out the door.

"So it's shiny?"
Ihra pops out of her hiding place which is more of a cloak. She eyes your blade with curiosity.

 

"It can be."
I say as I pull out the cloth that I use to shine my blade.
"In fact, a lot of things can be shiny."
I pull out the gear I called 'scrap metal' from before, give it a quick couple of wipes, and hand it to Ihra.
"But if you actually want to wield my blade,"
With the hand that still has the cloth in it, I pull out my sword and put it on my lap.
"just remember that's it can be heavy."

 

OOC: normal dog behavior, and I might not be able to reply again for an hour, sorry

that's strange... "Spray, where ya goin?" I fallow him out the door of our little camp

 

She takes the gear and eyes it for a while. She reaches to hand it back and looks at your blade.
"I doubt it can be that heavy. I'm sure I can handle it. Lemme try!"

You see an intensely glowing ball of plasma hit a wall of ice. There's something flying, flaming. It dives where the wall was.

Frost creeps along the ground.

 

"Wha-what? Sparky, let's get a move on. We need to see what that thing it! It could have rare metals!"

 

You hear a loud crash, and the thing seems to reluctantly retreat before darting off into the distance.

Sparky runs ahead to where the ice wall was.

 

"If you say so."
I smile, put the gear and the cloth back in my pocket, pick up the sword by the handle (It's made to be two handed, remember) and hand it to Ihra.

 

She grabs it, looks at it, slams her staff in the ground so it stays upright, and starts twirling your blade around like a baton.
(Frankly, this scares you a bit at first since she doesn't bother to back up)
After a few tosses, she laughs.
"That's a pretty color!"
She eyes it for a few moments before handing it back, smiling.

 

I laugh.
"I guess I underestimated you."
I take and sheath the sword, and stand up.

 

"Yo, wait up buddy! I'm coming! What was that thing?"

 

"Many people do."
She lunges at you and snags the gear out of your pocket, jumping back.
"Sorry, just that nobody..."
She tosses the gear skywards.
"...lets me..."
She grabs her staff and looks like she's ready to bat the gear out of the air.
"...show off!!"
Two giant axeblades emerge from the edges of her staff's centerpiece. She leaps into the air and cleaves the gear in half. It doesn't even change its trajectory much.

As she lands, the blades revert back into the staff.
"I hope that wasn't important..." She looks a bit sheepish.

Sparky stops a bit ahead of you. You can feel the air chill.

On the other side of some boulders, you see something between a human and a dragon. Their scales are a glacier blue and her robe is a deep midnight blue with purple details. They hold a tome surrounded by a dark aura, but they're crying.

They don't notice you.

 

"HOLY SH-"
I decide not to curse.
"That was amazing! And no, it wasn't important. I just found it, it doesn't actually fit in me."
That was a half lie. It does fit in me, but if the one in me got damaged, I would most likely be far dead anyways.

 

"Mother doesn't think I'm strong enough to use it. While it does pull me around a bit, I'm close enough." She says smugly.

She yawns.
"That was a bit difficult, though."

 

"Speaking of, Vesius, the two gods, and well, everyone that saw the sigil you left behind when you left are kinda worried about you, by my understanding."
A worried pause.
"Are you going to stay awake, or are we just going to sleep?"

 

I slowly approach, trying not to make any noise. Sparky fallows silently, head held low.

OOC: is there anyone else around?

 

"I'll catch up to them eventually. Staying awake until then is probably a good idea."

OOC: Just you.

They still don't notice you.

The frost on the ground, you notice, seems to originate from them.

 

Sparky brings me a stick. I slowly approach the creature. I poke it gently with the stick, then leap back a few paces, watching if it will react...

 

"Right... My speaking might be a little rusty. Haven't exactly talked in a few millennia or something." I teleport closer to the dragon, who stops and lands on the mountain face.

"Yhrey e zyr glym keel thum?" (Yhrey, why are you here?")

 

OOC: Out of curiosity, who's idea was it to name one of the kingdoms "Brisingr"? You do know what that means/ what that if from, right?
