Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I look around to see if anyone might be there, then instead of cutting the root, I take another step with my other foot.

 

Ok, so there's the thread called the Void Rift rp. However, the person who created the thread doesn't go on much now so Exvhius adds posts into everything. Most of the information about the world is in the main post BUT I did create a more detailed version of one of the kingdoms recently. There is currently no map of the whole world BUT there are maps for 3 of 5 kingdoms. I'm going to work on the last two as soon as I can (the last two are my kingdoms funnily enough, same as the kingdom I updated. They were the last two to be made). After I make those two maps I will make a less detailed map which contains the whole world so far and may add new versions if new kingdoms are created for various reasons. I think Reflet was going to create a new kingdom (not sure though).

Ability(ies):

Tinkers Construct. Edicius has the ability to make technological machines and weapons. His only magic ability is to cause his creations to turn on and do stuff if needed. He, being a tinker, usually starts building before he fully knows what he is building. This usually ends up in crazy items.

Some examples of his tinkering/ tinkering magic would be Silverback and Sparky. Silverback was mage by Edicius when trying to make a blade that would shoot energy, but instead made a blade that turns into energy. Sparky is a metal companion built into the shape of a dog. With raw metal it would never come alive, or at least not with Edicius's skill, but with his magic he made it be able to do that.



Blade, Bow, or Tome? (Choose up to two):

Tinker's Construct? See Abilities Section. He fights with whatever his current weapon creation is. However, he always has a special knife called Silverback on him. When used in fighting Silverback is a fair weapon, but when thrown turns into a spinning circle of energy, which comes back like a boomerang.



Position in community:

Outcast. Does not have a community. Only companion is his pet Sparky, which was created by Edicius.



Additional Details and Lore:

Edicius's early memory was building Sparky as a kid. He does not know when his parents left, or how he came to live in the mountains, but he does not care. He figures he probobly went into hiding some time after the war. He is an novice tinker. Always trying out new things and seeing where he will end up. At the age of 15 he built Silverback, his trust knife. He started running low on scrap metal, who knows how he even had what he had in the first place, and built a small mine so he could continue tinkering. He had the farm as long as he could remember.

He, now at the age of 25, started planning. He built a one-way pocket transporter and a small mining mech. When he pushes the button on his transporter, the back activates, grabs some metal from the mine, and send it his way. Sadly due to his limited knowledge, he could only make the transporter be one-way and only carry metal.

Now armed with a ready supply of metal on demand, he left his home in the mountains with Sparky. He never saw any of the world other than the mountains, so he in unprepared for whatever the world may hold for him.

(Oh and idk, but since this seems like the players make e story kind of thing, you know how you said you need 7 objects to open the vault thing? One of them could be inside Sparky. But that's up to you, your the thread owner)



Relative location of settlement:

Living alone in the Gakmot Mountains. Has a small farm for food and a small mine for Metals.

 

Ehh I can see exactly where the rp might go already... not sure though, but one character may come across you quite quickly...

 

Is that good or bad?

 

Depends on your actions, what that character does and what else happens at the same time.

While I love the backstory, I'd prefer you not be Emeraldonian. I don't know that story branch well enough and the person who made it hasn't been on for eternity.
Change the race and you'll be okay.

 

I made the thing after reading the info thread. Only after did I start reading what happened so far here and realized you did not make the lore. I may as well be human. Abilities and lore and stuff stay the same. I'm not emeraldonian, but I grew up in those mountains, yahda yahda ya.

Ok cooleo, I'm just reading through what's happened so far

 

"Maybe Nyre drove him away."

 

"Could be... I can speak their language, Wyrmtongue, so I can always ask."

OCC: Should probably put somewhere that Wyrmtongue is the language of both me and the ancient
Brisin, which the dragons adapted. Going to add Brisingr religion and stuff to the report.

 

"If you can, do. Hardly anything hurts at this point."

 

I decide it might be best if I were to sit, so I do.
"People just call me Thirteen. You?"

 

"You know who I am. What are you, though?"
The root withers, appearing brittle.

You're waken up by Sparky. It's early; in fact, the sun's barely risen over the horizon.

 

I continue to sit.
"I have an assumption of who you are, but I do not know for certain. As for what I am, that's a little private, but if you really want to know, cut me."

 

Silence.
"I couldn't."
Another pause.
"I can't. Not without cutting something off."
...
"That blade, what's it made of?"

 

"Just amethyst. Custom made from a blacksmith I ran into in a town. Typically, people say it's heavy, but..."
A pause.
"Because of who I am, it doesn't feel heavy to me."

 

"What's amethyst? Are you a Mecha?"

 

"What? What is it Sparky? Why so early?"
