You can't assume that he is from Dern because of his grey skin. He could be from Fruma, Gavel, or anything. *corkus*

The grey skin could just be a gene that was created within the genetics of the Fruma citizens, there could be anybody that has grey skin in Fruma. Of course, it could be a rare dominant gene, but just because of the grey skin doesn't mean he's dernic.

The two different stories about the Abysso Galoshes are just them saying their family's beliefs, while at the same time kinda exaggerating it. The "strange creature" might have been an enderman, but the man with grey skin might not be Bob. it could be any human from Fruma with the grey skin.

And as for the stone, that doesn't mean that it was still given to them by Bob. You can't trust everything the lore has said. They can change the lore at any time, and your theories will just be wasted.

This theory is *no offense* NOWHERE near perfect. There's always cracks in places. You can't trust that the creature was a lord of dark magic. It could have been Death. (Not knowing if Death is Human, Ghost, Ender, or Villager, he may just call it "creature".)

Also, NOWHERE in the lore does it say that he has owned the Abysso Galoshes.

    .99% foolproof :/

Eggs arent from dern... The guy living their bought it...
    ________________________________
The endermen- aka otherworldly creatures- are not the natives of dern- they apeared with the egg. However- the corruption of the island may have caused the mother (if she is indead from dern) to produce a child with grey skin though- so i support the theory

Artists use gray and purple to represent black, because think about it. Black on black, you can't really see that. Qira's skin is black like ebony.
It was actually called the Dark Island, and yes, there were Dern *Emigrants.
