I'd say her in-game model is human like previously stated but she's actually Dernian (Dernian=lifeforms Dernic=objects right?) based on her skin.

 

The only Dernic things we know of are tall and skinny (not her)

Dark and skeletal (not her)

The skeletal has to come from not skeletal, so dark and humanoid? (Perhaps her)

And (If you believe my theory) grey skinned humanoid (Not her, but bob)

But lets run with this. From my bob theory we stated that the longer you are in Dern. the darker you become. Since she is totally black, she would have had to stay in Dern for a large part of her life.

We also stated that Dern DOES have humans in it, albet slightly off-color, but it makes sense. Totally black humanoid. Could be.

But what of Gale?

 

Now I want to go to Dern...Darkening properties that turn people black? Sounds like my heritage.

 

We don't know that for sure. But if you read my Bob Is Dernic theory, I kind of explain how that would make sense.

 

In the official art for Qira she's light grey, in game she's black.
idunno as to if she's some kind of ancient 'human' from before Dern was completely corrupted and has skin hue alteration due to it or what but I think her being Dernian could be a good explanation.
As for the other 'humans' Gale could be a elemental of some sort if humans really haven't been in Gavel since recently and Ohms could be anything since we haven't seen him (my guess is elemental or villager),

Art that is completely black doesn't show up well. Shades of gray and purple are often used to represent black.

This. She uses the "Player" mob type which is often referred to as "Human". It's simply a mistake that needs to be fixed. Whether she is human or not is something the wiki won't tell you. You have to find that out on your own.

Change it back to "Player". You were right. He was just over-analyzing things without looking at other resources. Qira's type is Player. Just how Bob's type is zombie pigman.
