Chapter one: As The Shadows.


A lowly guard walked up to Senth’s tent. Even though the guard was unarmed, Senth counted 8 ways to kill him with only things the guard brought in. As he ducked under the cloth used as a door, Senth could easily tell he was working for someone. Senth knew people. He could see when they lied, as this guard was going to. Senth wouldn’t work for anyone who wouldn’t show up themselves. Their minions would try to tell him they were acting on their own interests, but Senth could see right through them, and they could see nothing in him. It...unsettled people. people in this business liked to keep their secrets secret. especially from an 18 year old with snow white hair and showed no emotion.

The guard sat nervously, fidgeting.

“Well?” Senth asked.

“Uh...um...well, you see-”

“Your boss wants to hire me.” Senth said calmly.

“No, It's just me!” The Guard tried quickly, obviously lying.

“Well if it’s just you, what will you pay with?” Senth said, humoring him.

The guard pulled out a bag full of LE. Senth nearly laughed. The guard looked down embarrassed, realizing his mistake. No guard, villager or not, would have that kind of money. It obviously came from his employer.

“I’m sorry but if your master wants something he will need to come himself.” Senth said. The guard almost looked relieved.

Of course who ever hired the guard wouldn’t want to, but there was no other way to get Senth to do what they wanted. Kill the king of Cinfras. Senth was an assassin. Many times the royal guards would have come to get rid of him but the kings hired him too, and might still in the future.

Senth stood in the shadows. The employer had come, as expected, and given him his job. He was a nobleman that either didn’t like the king or he thought having the king gone would help him in some way. but either way he was willing to pay over 5 sets of LE.

Senth started moving. It was dark enough that he wouldn’t have much trouble with patrols, but if it came to it, Senth had all known assassin spells to help him, and one or two unknown ones. Senth came to an old building, and easily climbed up to the top.from there he ran silently and jumped to a nearby building making sure there were no people under him. He heard a golem walking with two guards, so he cast vanish in case they were to look up as he jumped again. A golem wouldn’t be too hard to deal with but Senth didn’t have time to clean up.

He continued to make his way across the city until he reached the bridge. There he waited until the guards patrolling weren’t looking and he jumped down onto the rafters underneath the bridge. As he crept along he heard the city guards patrolling the bridge.

When no one was looking he jumped up, ran out in the open, and into the guild hall. The main hall was empty as expected, so he ran to the hallway to the king’s room. Also as expected there were two guards. they both looked tired quietly talking to each other as Senth reactivated vanish, walked up to them, and killed them both quickly and quietly using his signature throwing knives.

Senth quietly picked the lock to the king’s chamber, where he found the king sleeping soundly. Senth killed him quickly without him awakening, Then Senth cut his own finger and used his blood to draw on the wall, a cross with a circle around the middle. With that he left.

Chapter 2


The city was in an uproar, but that was expected. They would set up a “search party” for Senth, but they wouldn’t try very hard to find him because first, that would ruin their chances of hiring him again and second, they wouldn’t be able to find him anyway.

After Senth had completed his mission, he collected his reward, and left the province. He left, via airship, to the city Alumj in the Wynn province. There he immediately set up his tent in the market place. Typically, he would get a job fairly quickly, because no one wanted to miss him, he would probably get a job within a couple of days.

That was faster than usual, Senth thought as someone walked into his tent. maybe I’m getting too predictable.

“Hello.” Senth said to the villager that walked in. He was a nobleman of some sort. A very nervous, wide eyed nobleman.

“Uh hello, um I just um I have a job for you.” The villager stuttered. Senth seemed to have that effect on people.

“Of course.”

“I uh need you to, um uh the prince of uh, the Ahmsord islands is, well-”

“You don’t like him, so you want him gone, correct?” Senth cut him off, growing tired of his stuttering. But not letting anything show.

“Yes. Uh please. Uh that is if you have time, ‘cause it’s a dangerous place, and there’s a lot of monsters, and-” He kept talking but Senth was only half listening. Instead he thought about how much harder it would be to get to the prince of the Ahmsord islands than it was to kill the king of Cinfras. The prince was paranoid, for good reason apparently, seeing as Senth would be coming to kill him soon.

First Senth had to get close to him. That would be the hard part. No weapons were allowed near him or the king except for the most trusted guards and everyone else was searched thoroughly.

“What will you pay me with?” Senth cut off the villager that was STILL droning on.

“Oh uh how much do you need?”

“We will see once the job is done, but you’ll need 8-13 sets of LE.

The villager paled. “Yes, ok I can do that…I...uh I guess” This was going to be very expensive for even a nobleman villager.

Nice story. Over details like the 10 centimeter knives seem to detract from your writing style. Maybe show it in a different way.

but... why. If he was an assassin, why would he cut his own finger?!
So confusing.

But it's good c:

 

he used his own to make the foucus on HIM not just the victim

Cool story, can you make more of it? And try to add dialog.

This story seems pretty good, it's just... You are just falling into this Senth guy who immediately kills someone... Right.

 

It IS a little fast, but killing is what he does, it's what he does.
