I can see why you might take my statement personally, seeing as you played a large role in creating them, but don't let this cloud your judgment. Uniques are supposed to be on the low end of mediocre and that's OK. They're almost filler items. Items that exist almost entirely for the soul purpose for adding diversity. Items like this are in every mmo. Rares are better than average and have more pleasing stats than most uniques. This rule applies to legendarys and mythics as well. The trade off here is that lower quality items will drop more often than higher quality items. Heck, I use the aldo from time to time. I prioritise my needs when it comes to finding the items I want. Often I use the "find" feature in my browser to find stats most pleasing to me. For an example, xp bonus is the highest on my priority's when it comes to stats. Next is spell damage, and any negative damage debuffs. The truth is that rares and upwards usually (NOT ALWAYS) are better in this department.

@Selvut283 I know you do item stuff, if you're gonna nerf one mana regen item (Meridian) then might as well nerf them all. These are all the op mana regen weapons.

 

Wait, these items also have mana regen equal or higher to Aquarius?! (I'm looking at the item guide, so I may be wrong) I'm surprised not a single person mentioned these items on this thread.

 

I was wondering why you were quietly going off on this guy lol, i see. An artist defending his work, fair enough.

 

I'll be honest, I've used quite a few uniques and they've gotten me to where I need to be just fine. I also personally enjoy finding uniques upon uniques and testing them all out or just simply seeing what's new. It's like a fun little game and everyone loves a good old game of chance/mystery. However, I do see where Phiioniic was coming from.

I think the confusion here is that when you level up a class, you are only getting a specific supply of items. Meaning, you arent going to get everything, so of course chances are that you may get gear that isnt quite made for your specific class. For example, I have personally built up 3 different classes (archer, mage, warrior) and each run from level 1-20 I've found things on my warrior that I wish I would have found on my archer and vice versa. Maybe you just arent seeing/getting the things that are best suitable for your class?

I'm not sure if its mana consumption or the items.. but as a mage from level 1-40 it was incredibly difficult to travel and sometimes battle. I would teleport a few blocks about two times and then have to wait 30 or so seconds for my mana to catch up. I couldn't find any gear that supported mana for quite some time and I can't say I really enjoyed it as much as I feel I could have. But as the other user had said, I honestly may have been spoiled by the mana bow I previously owned.. however, I highly prefer it :P

Why would anyone want to get their items nerfed? I mean... we are here bitching about this for a reason :P

 

The lowest one on that list has an average on 5/4s and the highest has an AVERAGE OF 12/4s, soooo... yea.

 

I don't think anybody in this thread has read a single one of my post thoroughly. Am I not clear enough? Is what I say really that confusing? Come on people, its not that hard.

I said that uniques are supposed to be on the low end of mediocre or "just fine" like you said. There is no confusion. Read my post again with a tad bit more effort. I have made my build around the items I have and want to keep before the I get rid of them in the next few levels. This is probably the smartest way to go about character builds and I'm surprised more people don't do it.

Read them yourself and come to your own conclusion, rather than making vague statements upon skimming through my writing. Doing so makes people look intelligent.

Yeah I can understand the unhappiness. A finely tuned build can mean a fine line between steady progression from quest to quest versus stagnating in a pit of confusion and endless brawls in Detlas!! Jkin! But really, just when you think you can get by and not necesarily a breeze, your "confidence" or fun factor is crushed! Thank goodness for a few good friendly souls willing to help a lower level player along, and its rare as everyone is busy fixing their build/gear, and friendly chat, @RenHax, makes it bearable grinding away. I met 5 new players over the past 3 days who were respectful and helpful and willing!

 

RIP this server.

 

To be fair that is a lv 26 weapon with 11 mana steal, that is so OP.

 

The same reason why I miss it :P

 

I get how fun it is to find an op weapon at a low level and showing it off to everyone, but the you ate missing out on the fun which is finding new weapons and the thrill you get when you get a weapon which is better then yours.
