Different Identifications?

So, a few days ago I got a weapon called an Ocelot Claw, and I saved it in my bank for my low level assassin. Today, I got another ocelot claw weapon, but it has different identifications? How is that even possible?!

This one has negative mana steal, and the other one doesn't!

 

They are meant to be like that.

 

No, he means that the 2nd claw has an added Debuff.

 

Oh. Well I was talking about the different identification values. Maybe negative mana regen because it ranges from (for instance,) -1/4 to 1/4?

 

It's not that, it's the fact the one has a mana regen value and the other doesn't. I thought every item had the same ID's, just with different values.
Like: All Queen's Tiara Helmets will have Loot Bonus and XP Bonus, but 1 might have 2 and 6, and another will have 4 and 3.
But the second Ocelot's Claw has mana regen and the first one DOESN'T.

 

I think its the luck. If u have bad luck u get negative and if u get a okay roll u get no buff for mana and if u get lucky u get +mana regen

 

Guys, it doesn't work from one value to another. It's multiplicative, so what's negative stays negative and what's postitive stays positive. Maybe Selvut or Salted can give us an answer.

 

I'm pretty sure the way it works is that it the mana range from this picture is something like -1/4 to 1/4, and he got a roll which gave him 0 mana regen and therefore it isn't shown. It's not that it doesn't have mana regen.

 

A negative mana range cannot go into the positives and a positive mana range cannot go into the negatives. Recently some items were changed so maybe negative mana regen was added and my old one didn't get updated.

 

The value can round up or down, which can, in turn, remove the value completely.

 

Negatives can range to 0 though because of rounding.

Unfortunately, if identifications are added to items, old identified items do not gain the new identifications. In certain cases, this can lead to items not gaining identifications that would help balance them.

 

Wait if that's true then why did the mana regen on my meridian go from 12 to 2 when you updated that ID?

 

I think the first one got a 0/4s so it just didnt bother to say it on the item.

 

I said new identifications are not gained. Pre-existing identifications, however, are properly affected.

 

So the old ones just aren't showing....
