What is this item for? I found it in Molten Heights a while back. I already glitched it out of my inventory because I assume I wasn't supposed to have it.

 

Probably related to an upcoming quest involving the Runaway Golem mob that spawns in Molten Heights.

It's a bug item, just throw it away.

 

There were two scrapped quests in the Molten Heights. This item was likely from one of them. No need to hold onto it, if the quest this is from returns you'll probably be able to acquire it then anyways.

It is an item from a scrapped quest, now which is a bug to receive in-game. So, in this case throwing it away would be ideal for a person as it cannot be used in anyway. And yes there are ways to throw away quest items. Also, don't go interrogating other players as if you're a staff member. He is simply trying to help the OP with an item that shouldn't be obtainable in the first place.
