A Note To Salted

As much as I like playing on this server, the nerfs with absolutely 0 patch notes about them really gets on my nerves. Going to buy or sell gear, logging in and seeing it nerfed because "you didnt feel like it was worth making notes about it". Even if your team sees something as OP and you decide to change it, take the 5 minutes to say Hey, this is being changed. Not leave it for us to find with no explanation. It really kills a good server when something is nerfed and nothing is said.

Jester items were nerfed to 33% max stat, some of the Bobs Mythic items were nerfed, we cant use the /find command.

And concerning the broken items due to special characters, why not just change the name of the items to that without the special character. Example of putting its name to Pelier

 

Well, to compensate with the Jester Items nerf, the Negative set bonuses were nerfed to compensate for it, it's fair, I suppose. With /find, it's pretty much useless, really, and it's basically a tool for stalking people for youtubers and such, they deserve privacy.

One thing I agree with you, however, is that we should be notified beforehand. I want to know what to expect from an incoming patch to prepare for some potential item loss and all that stuff.

 

Well I'll be honest, the Jester was kind of OP, literally everyone and their mom wanted these things

I can see why they nerfed the jesters. I have nothing against them nerfing it. I was running around with almost 200% xp in my battle gear cuz of them. The point in it is that no patch notes are made available about the changes. I told salted this when the executioner helm nerf happened and he replied with he couldnt be bothered to. that was the quote i put in. we should be given a choice to toggle whether we want to be /find or not.

 

I would actually have to agree with you on the update patches. It could also apply to fixes and things that are being worked on but not implemented(Not game content, just issues). That way we can see that yes, the devs are actually doing SOMETHING about the broken things and problems that are causing people to not be able to play. And, it would show that they care for the community enough to say what's going on. Heck if I remember right, they don't even talk to the mods about what's being fixed, which is why all the mods can say is "It's being worked on." Unless the mods have a hand in fixing of course. But yeah, a heads up would be nice. If Devs can't be bothered, then they should give a mod the info so they can post it for them.

No one's complaining about the nerfs, They're complaining about the lack of communication between the creators and the community, which I think is a problem too. I don't think we need to be notified about every little thing, but for things that actively affect the playerbase, like changes to an item's stats, a little "hey this item is kinda OP, so we're nerfing its stats a bit" or the like would be greatly appreciated.

Personally I'm glad jester items got a nerf (although the set bonuses need to be fixed as well, I do not get the +300 spell damage from my set), but I'm not sure if I can really understand the bob's mythic nerfs. Although I guess it is a bit ridiculous that a free level 75 wand that deals like 185-250 damage at normal speed is pretty much the best all-around reliable wand until infused hive at 100...

I just noticed, bob's mythic bow now only deals 350-470 damage while it used to deal 410-550 and the attack speed hasn't changed. That's a pretty big nerf... RIP my archer

There goes my Water/Thunder archer, entire build was based on Meridian with 12/4s mana regen.

ALSO /R IS BROKEN BUT /MSG WORKS

 

Jesters were just silly. I ran around with 175% loot and xp with my normal gear on, almost 300% when I put my full xp/loot on. I agree they needed the nerf, but this is about no communication between devs and players. Its a huge issue when stuff like this happens and it really can kill player base

 

Anyone have a full list of nerfed items?

I can understand the nerf on Bob's mythic bow and such, but Bob's spear was the last weapon that needed nerfing. Personally, I don't think that warriors ever did enough damage. This nerf was not needed.

 

The update is bullshit.

Well, I hope Salted and some of the staff come over here to clear things up, because it seems things are getting hazy....

 

Its a damn shame too. This server has so much potential and I was easily obsessed with it since day one.
However, after spending way too much time on this server since I joined last month.. I'm only seeing it's enjoyability decrease.

 

same here. higher levels have less content as well. finish a quest, stuck to grinding. once youre done everything, you're stuck from like, 90-100 grinding mobs cuz theres no other quests
