I say to nobody in particular, "Let her speak then."

 

Ihra heals Xephyr's wounds, and she takes a moment to collect herself.
"My mistress... I'm the only one unaffected. She fell..." She's in tears and obviously scared, sitting next to who were her mortal enemies.

"What...? How?!"
"I don't know, but I threw myself in stasis before she turned."
"I... I'm so sorry..."

 

"Who fell?"

 

"Xlentia, our deity. I could tell nobody, I can't take the four of them the way they are. I... I should have tried to escape..."
She breaks out in tears.
"Couldn't... protect... my own..." is all you can comprehend through her distress.

"Huh?.." I grab the dragon, and just run off to a secret network of tunnels. There I create a huge protective bubble, inside of which I do things for the dragon. "There, just stay here for now." I prepare to follow the other draconian.

 

It makes a chirp sound as you leave.

Down the hall, you can see the crimson glow of their blade. It's getting brighter.

 

I down a vial of shimmering liquid, and feel a great power form within myself. "Show yourself! What do you want?"

 

"... It isn't your fault."

OCC: I have no idea what else to say sooooo...

 

"Killing the enemy leader ought to shatter morale."
She steps into the intersection, eyes looking your way before she even becomes visible.
She wears a crimson robe, wields four blades, and has seven tomes levitating in a ring behind her.
"I would recommend you not strike first."

"I'm just... running from everyone, now... Got here through some... surprisingly stable portal..."
"Come on, get it together. We can work something out, four on six shouldn't work if five on five hasn't for centuries." I offer my hand to help her get up.
"I'll... I'll get over it... Thanks."
She takes a few steps back. The ground freezes below her feet.
"Sorry... Too warm here... Feels like I'm melting."

 

"I'm the goddess of fire, so that might be me. I can leave if you want."

 

"So, you are a draconian, right? Just like the one... Who left recently."

 

"No, you're fine... It's just this world... So bright, so warm... Lively..."

"She didn't hide in here again? Grr... What's the drop in temperature in here from, then? This is far colder than outside."

 

"Alright... I'd rather not put any more flammable people into a coma today. We're going after Nyre whether you're with us or against us."

 

"Flammable? Heh... That's just Ihra. I'd complain, but it's not like I can..."
Frost creeps along the ground. She seems to melt into water, reforming a few feet away.
"I'm not worried. Ihra, you'll be okay."
"You should make more pretty crystals sometime!"
"Hahah... Maybe I will... After I catch a break..."
Xephyr turns to you.
"Well, plasma beats ice, but I can at least slow him down a bit. I'll stay with Ihra, at least keep her intact."
Her tome returns to her hand.

 

"Its.. A dragon. A small one."

 

Her blade stops glowing. She sheathes the two she's holding.
"Raise it well, protect it. Promise me that much."
She vanishes.

 

"I've got some scrap metal, if you cool that down it could keep you a bit colder than you are now. Hopefully."
I offer Xephyr something that looks like a shiny new gear. (Don't worry, that's not from my insides.)

 

"Uh... I'll be okay. I just... don't want to damage this world. It reminds me of my childhood."
There's a significant temperature drop around her.
