    Please, dear god PLEASE could an admin/GM release how damage is calculated, both melee and spell? There's SO much speculation, and we honestly have no idea what we're doing. It USED to be alot simpler, and we could figure out the math. However, nowadays with the elements, raw and % damage, and so on and so on, we NEED to understand how damage is calculated in order to lay the speculation to rest and to make better builds, based on facts.

    I'll do it in easy math.
    rop+se*RnG=dmg
    What this means, in steps is
    rop=Rage of players
    Se= Salte'ds ego
    RnG = Random number generator/ RnGesus
    Dmg= Destroyed minds of gamers

    Well, I think that how it works is that every attack does a certain amount of damage based on your weapon, and additional damage buffs. Then, a percentage of weapon or total damage is either added on or just a part of it, which is the elemental damage. Then, it takes the elemental damage buffs that you have, and adds it further to the elemental damage there.

    For example:
    Spin Attack (Grade I)
    "Damage": 200%
    ✦ Thunder Damage: 30%

    Weapon Damage:

    Neutral Damage: 100-100
    ✦ Thunder Damage: 100-100

    Damage dealt when using Spin Attack:

    Neutral Damage: 200-200
    ✦ Thunder Damage: 230-230 (30 + 200)

    Notice the underlined areas. The example is what I think is most likely.

    Well damage is calculated by
    1: The amount of damage ur weapon does
    2: The strengh skill ( adds x% more damage)
    3: If you use any spells ( 100% is normal damage of 1 and 2, less than 100% is of course less damage and more than 100% is more damage than base)
    4: Any modifiers to ur equipment.

    Meaning that if you specify in earth for example, having alot of buffs to support earth on ur equipment, a weapon with high earth damage and using a spell that does alot of damage can output the most amount of damage per hit (against enemies that are weak or neutral against earth of course)

    I know that weapon speed is accounted for in spells. On my Alkatraz for example, I'll have less of a spell multiplier to account for the huge damage per hit, while on my assassin with super-fast Stylist's Scissors from my +2 Mummy's Rag, I'll have more of a multiplier due to the lower damage per hit.

    Pretty much, yeah. I mean, look at all the comments! We have no idea what we're doing!

    Essentially, damage is calculated by taking allllll those different things that people said and putting em together.

    Alright, I'll do the variables that apply to melee and spell. Here are the ones I can think of off the top of my head

    Melee:
    Raw melee damage
    Melee damage %
    Attack speed (SHOULD only affect hit rate but adding anyways)
    Elemental damage of weapon
    Elemental % from gear
    Powders (eventually)
    Strength
    Elemental damage from skill points
    Powders (not yet implemented)

    Spell:
    Spell damage from spell
    Side elemental damage from spell (ex 30% fire and earth on meteor)
    Strength
    Elemental % damage
    Elemental damage from weapon
    Elemental damage from skill points
    Raw spell damage
    Spell damage %
    Attack speed (modifies spell damage for sure, but we don't know if it's %, raw, both or even how much)
    Powders (not yet implemented)

    im not sure that can explain my weapon... 20-60 damage to do 5000+ uppercuts would mean my multiplier is At the minimum around 8000%
