SPOILER Wynn Inconsistancies

So. I have been doing a few theories lately and I noticed a few inconsistencies in lore or just game in general. This is not all, this is just what I have noticed right now.

If you want you can vote in the comments, but I am not going to put a poll on which is correct in each situation. I will edit as I find more

When did the corruption start:

In the official storyline it says 100 years ago.

In the elf quests (Idk how to spell the thing) if says 1000, as goes a chestplate called Ragni's mail

Villager's Arival:

Official lore says villager's only came about 10 years ago

Then how could the kings of Ragni and Troms be villagers (The kings are older than 10 years old)? And how to we have villager's trapped in the ice in Nessak when it was froze over much before?

Bob's Animals:

In the sealed letters Bob asks Nilrem to hide the animals.

In cluck cluck it says Bob have cluckles to Nohno, not Nilrem

Abysso Galoshes:

The first guy says they were given to the family by a man with pale grey skin (Bob)

The second guy ways they were bought by a dark and mysterious humanoid creature.

Death's Talk:

Look at the last two lines of your convo with death:

• Death: I DO ENJOY MY CHATS WITH HUMANS, THEY NEVER SAY ANYTHING.
• Death: WHICH IS ODD, BECAUSE OUT OF THE TWO OF US, THEY ARE THE ONES WITH VOCAL CHORDS.

But Humans do talk. Look at the NPCs in Detlas. They talk. And what about the fact that all the quest guys respond as if you have said something. (Like when the one guys says "Oh, you say you don't know where Almuj is" )

Grian confirmed that this section of the lore is incorrect. And that the villagers actually came around 100 years ago in the Wynn Timeline, and the corruption began almost 1,000 years ago (as mentioned in the Mysterious Ties Gavel spoiler video).

 

Yeah, the old lore is somewhat inaccurate and outdated.

 

Is there any way to get that updated? It would help so much with so many things

Actually, he said my argument was wrong. He never said that the storyline/lore was wrong.

 

For the first two Grian said the official lore is wrong.
The Abysso Galoshes are pretty consistent, you can be both man with pale grey skin and a dark and mysterious humanoid creature.
The only inconsistencies on this thread are Bob's animals.

the kings went there after they were born?

 

That actually makes no sense, even if it was 10 years ago they came. The kings are old, possibly middle-aged as they don't show signs of lack of health. Lets say they were 50 when they came to Wynn, then after about 5 years became 55, which is surely old enough to rule a kingdom? He could have started ruling that kingdom when he first came, or a year, or two years, you get it now don't you?

And Nesaak is pretty much a cold wasteland. Not really a wasteland, but that's to emphasize how fucking cold it always is. (;^; rip freezing villagers). In a place where it never stops snowing, and parts of the river are consistently ice, you think ice won't freeze around somebody that fast? The Lusuco area seems especially cold and chilling for some reason.

Forgive me if I forgot any lore, dialogue, or text that makes me wrong.

 

This is driving me insane.

Yea, if an area is consistently producing GIANT ICE STALAGMITES, I would assume that nothing good would come out of jumping in the water there.

 

there is also tons of ways to go back in time or even slow it and freeze it down maybe, it might include the door of time ?

 

It could have also been the work of Wynn Ex placing those kings into power. Somebody somewhere in that questline said that they had the high and mighty on their side.

Also, there was a quest person very early on that said something along the lines of "So the King finally decided to do something and help, did he?" which makes me think that the King of Ragni isn't really who he seems if he's nearly incapable of running and protecting his kingdom.

 

I just came here to see who posted this thread...it wasn't surprising that it was Spyrohawk...he makes threads like these a lot.

 

I have heard the lore is wrong. But with what we currently have:

The kings of Wynn were humans before the villagers came. Because well, must I explain? So either the kings should still be human, or they married villager and had villager kids. Now since the villagers only came 10 years ago, there is not way we could have a grown up villager as the kings.

For the second I was going under the assumption that no one is stupid enough to let themselves be slowly covered in ice. Unless flash freeze did it in an instant. But the flash freeze of nessak happened way before the villagers came, before the corruption even started.
