This is thread is an appreciation for poems. You can make all sorts of poems, acrostic poems, nursery rhymes, and by far my favourite, haiku poems. There are still many types of poems if you want to make those.

How to Make Poems:

• Acrostic Poems are kind of like acronyms. Here's a acrostic poems about acrostic poems (I didn't make this):

• Nursery Rhymes are poems that rhyme at the end of the line. Say if you had on line ending in with the word 'thread', you would have to have the next line end with a word that rhymes with it, such as 'bed'. Example (I made this):

Poems are great
They allow people to create
Now I'll watch this thread
Before I go to bed

• Haiku/Haikus (I have no clue) are poems that depend on the syllable of the lines. The first line has to have 5 syllables, the second line having 7, and the third line have 5. These poems are simple, but they are absolutely wonderful. Example (I made this):

Haikus are lovely (5)
They go five, seven, then five (7)
I'd say they are great (5)

There are certainly more types of poems out there. Anyways, I want people to try and make poems. So post them. Good luck.

January 25

Roses are black.
Violets are black.
You took my eyes.
Please give them back.

 

Whether a spear, bow, wand, or knife we hold,
If our level is high or low;
We are the heroes of Wynn,
And we fight the monsters from below.

The sun travels across the sky,
And us across the land;
But if you ever have the chance,
Find someone to hold your hand.

But lest we tire, and lest we stop,
Defending the province of Wynn;
For if we tire, for if we stop,
The undead's reign will begin.

We are the heroes of Wynn,
With all our courage we fight;
For freedom and knowledge we seek,
Working hard day and night.

I kinda wanted to do something different, so here's something kinda random that I think sounds poetic. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Soaring skyscrapers
scrape the sky
as the name would imply.
And I look up at them
from this room that is mine.

 

I did some poems once but then I lost all of them during 9/7

I am kinda bored
so I just wrote this haiku
yup that's all, okay...

 

ROSES ARE RED

VIOLETS ARE RED

THE FLOOR IS RED

THIS GUY IS RED

I KILLED HIM

DON'T CALL THE POLICE

Sirens are red

Sometimes they're blue

they also go wee woo wee OH CRAP THEY'RE RIGHT OUTSIDE

DON'T SAY ANYTHING OR I WILL TAKE YOU DOWN WITH ME FOR HARBORING A FUGITIVE.
