Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I could laugh at you, but I won't." I grin.
I step forward, showing myself to the crowd around Ihra.
"Any knowledge on what went down here?"

 

I stand behind Vesius, and simply stare.
(I typically only talk if directly adressed to)

 

"I don't think he did anything, really... He was born special or something."
OCC: I cannot remember I'm sorry. Might have been OCC too. I dunno

 

"Nope, my ancestors. Because of my predecessors, they want me dead." I step forward.

 

"This writing might be millennia old. But I brought you here to show you something else... Something rather weird." I go over to a bookshelf, where I move aside a stack of books. Behind it, I press a button, and a door opens up in the wall. "I will go in. You may follow, if you wish."

 

"Oh... What'd your ancestors do?"

 

"I... I fear I've put too much trust into you. I don't doubt I could end you and destroy the area, but the cost would be too great... Forgive me, human."

"My ancestor became notoriously powerful; they fear I could live up to his legacy, but I know that I'll forever live in his shadow."

 

"They seem to have... powerful abilities. She was trapped inside a crystal to protect herself. But then an explosive arrow destroyed the crystal. The explosion may have been magical in some way."

"Ihra was scared and froze herself inside a crystal. I tried to get her out but the crystal was barely damaged. Then Nyre came and tried to destroy her and the crystal... by summoning some of my monsters somehow (OOC: Ik how, it's just that my character doesn't). I used a shroud of darkness to protect the crystal but Nyre shot an explosive arrow at the crystal. It exploded, and Ihra was bleeding badly. I brought this healer from the Darklands."

 

"I expected this. I know of your great powers... To some extent, at least." I go into the doorway, and return a few minutes later, carrying something.

 

"I'm surprised she was able to do anything. Ihra and Vei, though, would be the only two who can understand spells. This is unfortunate, but I think she can recover."

"I suppose you'll tell me what this is?"

 

"Well... from what Vei said, she isn't happy about fire."

 

"It'd be like lighting kindling on fire; Don't. You. Dare."


The healer steps back as Ihra half-opens her eyes. Any trace of blood on the ground is gone.

 

"This is something that I found while travelling to this cave, all those years ago." I uncover it, it is a large, egg shaped object. "This is some sort of egg. It is large, and looks like it might be a few hundred years old. But it is still unhatched... Although I can feel something living inside of it."

 

"So they want to kill you because they're scared? That's pathetic."

I wince when I notice Ihra waking up.

 

"Ihra, do you feel alright now?"

 

OOC: Exvhius, in the character list, I think you should change this to '@Devourer'

 

It doesn't really matter, it still links to me.

 

"I... Impossible... Th-he numbers make sense... I also sense a life form inside... It... What species is this?" She looks at it, and you, terrified.

"My ancestor was able to awaken the rapier I wield. He made one error in judgement in battle, and I also wish not to make the same one."

Ihra moans again as she sits up. She looks weak and disoriented.

"I... (ugh...) I'll make it..."
After rubbing her eyes a bit, she reaches for her staff and starts propping herself upright.

 

"Sorry for being blasted out of the crystal... Nyre came along and used an arrow which exploded when I came near to it."

 

"...Ugh, I hate him. Someday... someday I just want to cut him into bits and feed it to my pets!"
She roars, which sounds more cute than intimidating.
Her staff's crystal attracts light, dimming as her wounds heal further.
