Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

OOC: May end badly to look at the staff... but oh well.
"Yes, she's younger than all the others I have seen so far."
I approach the staff and take a look at it.

 

"How do you know that?"

 

OCC: I hope I'm in present time e_e
"Did the seal... Break?"

 

"...Interesting. This... this is only written in part in our language. I... I can't believe I've never heard of these before."

The staff is covered in many intricate designs and engravings; it has two figure-eight shaped curves around the handle, and the design at the tip of the staff (to you, at least) seems to resemble a dragon's wings around a small, clear crystal orb as a centerpiece. It almost looks like a work of art rather than a weapon.
There's also two concave curves near the right and outer edges of the design. It's the only part of the staff that isn't decorated.

"These wounds seem minor... I don't understand how they're bleeding this much..." The healer seems a bit panicked.

"Did you not feel that? No burst of negative energy? Hell, keep up if you can!" I start sprinting, use a spell to get airborne, and glide towards where the plume was.

The healer working on her wounds freezes for a moment before turning towards you.
"D...did you just say seal? Is... is t-this thing... um... she a god...?"

 

"Got it!" I yell, as I draw my broadsword and run at the speed of a horse that has Hell on its tail.

 

You see me land in front of you after about a minute, hand held out to slow you down.
"Ah, not again..."
You see a healer, two gods, stained grass/dirt, and an unconscious draconian just ahead.

 

"What the hell happened here?"
I ask to no one in particular.

 

"She tried to save herself from something." I mutter.

 

"But from what?"
I ask.
"An even better question: is it still here?"
*pause*
"Hell, an even better question that that: how do we help?"

 

"The bleeding's slowing, else it'd still be on the ground. I don't know what did it, what happened, or anything, but I can't imagine Vei would let this go unnoticed if she wasn't busy."

 

I decide I might regret it if I ask who Vei is.

"There seem to be people over there that might help us answer those questions."

 

"I think they have the same ones."

 

"Well that's a problem."

 

"I'm sure Vei'd wield her staff in Ihra's place if need be, but it's not like she's not already armed to the teeth..."
"What're you saying about me? Don't you dare speak of my daughter's fate."
"She's... right... behind... me... isn't she..."
(...yep)
Another draconian, taller, in a crimson robe stands behind both of you. She has seven tomes and four blades and looks less than thrilled at the sight of what you assume is Ihra unconscious on the ground.

 

I look at Ihra, then back at Vei.
I make a gesture that's a wave to Vei saying 'Hey', but only consists of moving the wrist instead of my entire arm.

 

"Not really, no. She's a draconian, so like a demigod."

 

She nods at you.
"You saw nothing. I want to see the power of this world. I can't save every city on my own."
She cloaks.

"So we have two groups of demigods; one destroying us and the other... we don't know yet?"
The blood begins vaporizing. Ihra's breathing becomes noticeable.

 

"Something... Like that. The side trying to destroy us wants to kill a draconian named Vesius for whatever reason."

 

"What did he do?"
Ihra moans.

 

"Memory wiping doesn't work like that on..."
I stop just as I was about to finish with 'robots'.
"Oh-kay, I'll stop being a smart-ass."
I say to the empty space that Vei used to consume.
