Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"If I wanted you captured, I'd already have you. If I wanted you dead, you already would be. I need and want to do neither of those." She says, slightly offended.

 

"Why would you be threatening ME? Everyone who I have ever met before was afraid of me... They hid. So why aren't you?" He still raises his hand slightly, as if ready to cast a spell shall anything go wrong.

 

"Have you considered the possibility that I'm not human?"

 

Lowering down his hand, Aforl says: "Are there... Such creatures? I remember vague tales of them, but no one ever believed them.."

 

"Define 'such creatures.' I doubt any of my kind has presented themselves here until recently." She seems to have calmed, noticing lowered aggression.

 

Aforl slowly backs away, trying to maintain some dignity while doing so. "But then, what are you?.."

 

"Cloaked." She laughs.
Something between a dragon and a human seems to materialize in front of you. Their robe is deep purple with midnight blue detailing. She holds a single tome.
"Make of me what you will."

 

"Well, she seems safe... I hope."
I move towards the crystal and Ihra.

 

"Are you... A dragon? And a human?? How????" Aforl studies her closely. "My many years of research have shown that this is.. Simply not possible."
"I have been studying with great care, the many years I have spent in this land. The runic stone speaks of a race of half-breeds, partially dragon and partially human." He looks at her again, looking into her eyes, before quickly looking away. "But.. Those were creatures of another world. And are you one of them?"

 

Ihra looks asleep, frozen in time...
...stuck there...

"Dragon. We only appear humanoid. You would be correct, I could very well be considered an alien."

 

OOC: Oh well, here goes...
I touch the crystal to see if it will react.

 

"So then, exactly what do you want from me?"

OOC: I will be away for a few hours or so. It's almost night for me. I will sleep soon.

 

It radiates energy when you make physical contact, but no other changes.
It's soft to the touch but has no give.

 

"Hmm... this crystal is strange."
I surround myself in a dark aura. I touch the crystal again.

 

"I was hoping you could show me the potency of this world's magic."

This time, it seems to absorb the aura and feels like what you'd expect a crystal to feel like.
It fogs up a bit, too. Ihra isn't clearly visible.

 

"So it becomes harder if it senses a possible danger... well, Ihra may be in here for some time."
I back away from the crystal but fire a weak bolt of darkness at it.

 

The bolt reflects at twice the speed back at you. There's a small scratch where the bolt hit.

 

"Well, it seems like I can't get Ihra out of there by force. Maybe I should wait a while."

 

The Infernal Beast takes your action as an order. It rams into the crystal, knocking a small piece of it to the ground. The piece dissolves after a few moments on the ground.

 

"Hmm.. Well, I guess I AM a wizard..." Aforl raises a hand cautiously into the air, seemingly grabbing a ray of light. Then, in a quick burst of color, a golden ring lays cold on his hand. "My power is stronger near the magic well in that cave, where I can create up to an entire room in one go."
