However, I don't think likes are important, as other people have said before (I think and I hope).

 

In all seriousness, you shouldn't make threads trying to inflate your ego, going only for likes. Being in a community is about connecting with the people there, and effort for the purpose of letting other people enjoy viewing you and your work. Don't go around making every thread meant to impress anyone. Just be yourself, learn and share new talents, even if it is art. The way I see it, you just stop trying to be "cool" (no offense) and do things your own way. Talk to people earn friends, and get likes as a reward for having a good time here.

Do as I say not as I do.

 

How to get likes:
Don'the be serious all the time
Don'the be a dick unless it is needed, or unless you'r abandoned bank, then it should be fine
And be serious when it's the right time to be

I'll be perfectly honest about likes:

If you're asking for likes in order to be popular/more well-known, you are scum.

Go make some decent, unique content that you enjoy making, and never listen to other people. Don't throw out 7 threads a week, or keeping a consistent time schedule. You're the creator, not them. If you're doing something you don't enjoy foor the sake of doing them for likes/popularity, you should heavily reconsider.

Instead of telling you how useless likes are (they are e_e) I'll tell you how to at least keep a 1:1 ratio

1. Shit post a lot
2. Wait maybe a week (until the thread's inactive) and check back on the shitposts
3. If they have no likes, delete them
4. ???
5. Profit

Other ways:
1. Make constant random status updates. They don't count as messages and maybe some of them will get likes

I used to do #3 a lot on my first month

and if any of you will start to mass shitpost on others and mine profile I'll swear to god I will hate and spread salt on all of your threads and make them sink and burn you all to hell with comebacks so sharp your wrists will look healthy.
