Only Time Will Tell...

Hello Wynncraftians!



So I recently went to help my friend on the quest, Haven Antiquity. We were in a Skype call as he was reading what the quest said when I heard something quite familiar:

"Only time will tell what the egg will turn into".

"Only time will tell"... the words repeated quite a lot throughout Salted's Gavel Teasers. And that got me thinking, maybe he wasn't talking about something in the future; maybe he was referencing something in the past? In the quest, Haven Antiquity, we are introduced to a super-corrupted egg that was brought to Alive Island by Siwel. We don't know how long ago this was because of the fact that Siwel dabbled in dark magic and immortality. Meaning, he could have been on the hundreds of years after the egg hatched.

Most of the teasers involving time had to do with the Time Door and the Nether. Players speculate that you are going to use the time door to see what happened to corrupt the Wynn Province. I would write the "only time will tell" deal off as a coincidence except for the fact that that egg is extremely corrupted and could have caused a great deal of noteworthy events to transpire in the Wynn Province.


So I think a possibility is that Salted could be referencing the egg in his teasers, and with the follow up update we will get some insight on the beast and it's impact on the Wynn Province. And also that the beast had some sort of role in the corruption of Wynn that we might see by using the time door in a quest.

Tell me what you think in the comments! This is simply speculation, I don't expect it to be right.​

Hell, maybe the egg is Ozoth's? Dragons come from Fruma? Too many brothers? Egg caused corruption? Egg caused Dern Island to magically turn into Dead Island? Egg caused Egg? Skeleton is Dragon? Giant? Giant Troll? Thanos? Dragon?

 

I'd like to point out that there's a big skeleton in the cave on the same island in present day. I imagine whatever hatched from the egg has already been dealt with, but who knows?

 

@Egg is the cause of the corruption confirmed?????

Yeah I think the quest will be using the Time Door to see what impacts the beast had while it was alive. *question mark*

I had pretty much forgot about the teasers but I guess it's possible we won't see some of that stuff till the followup update.

 

i guess so, maybe like the ??? quest there will be an ender dragon quest, ive noticed under selchar is a dragon egg, i believe theres one in mt wynn, and an other somewhere for whoever knows. and it prob spawns dragons to attack us :)

He actually put Heaven Antiquity, but why do people call it Haven of Antiquity?

 

Probably because they are two words that aren't exactly well known, and because the phrase structure is vague and can mean anything, people tend to change the structure so that it makes a bit more sense to them, even if that means distorting the meaning of it.

MAYBE! The monster who hatched from the egg might have killed a dragon which attacked him... Though I thought there was a peace of lore saying Bob slayed the dragon on the island ;p

 

Well, let's think about this. Here is my train of thought in several steps.
1. We know that Haven Antiquity is related to Bob. What does this mean? Let's see...
2. It is extremely likely that the Main Storyline is linked to the Time Door.
3. In the Main Storyline, Ba'al (please tell me I got the name right this time...) is someone very evil. He is also VERY powerful by the looks of it.
4. Bob went off to fight something really powerful according to the Sealed Letters.
5. The Sealed Letters also reference the War of the Realms, which means... well, just look at the name...
6. Ba'al is a creature, or possibly a deity like Death is, from one of the Realms.
7. This would either be the Nether or the Realm of Shadow.
8. Since most of the main storyline will happen in Wynn, it is likely to be the Corruption.
9. This idea is also strengthened by the fact that Bob fought against the Corruption.
10. My idea is that we go back in time to find Bob and Ba'al. I just have this feeling that Bob has something to do with the main storyline because he is so mysterious...

 

As far as I'm aware, there has never been a dragon on the island, only the beast, who's skeleton can be found in the same cave

1 Never anywhere has it been said Bob even went to the island, so idk where that came from
2 I suppose, tho the Valley of Time is only mentioned in like, one, maybe two quests. It can be involved, but it won't be the main thing, tho more than likely, Bob may be a main thing
3 Bak'al, Ba'al, one of them is confirmed dead (you kill him in Almuj Barracks), the other is omnipowerful, like Bob, will also be a lead in the Story.
4 According to the lore, he went off to to the Jungle as well

6 Some folks say he's an orc, due to his name
7 There is no "Realm of Shadow", it's the Realm of Light, and the Realm of Darkness. The Nether is safe to travel, but prolonged exposure causes madness. There is a gateway in the Mines of Corruption that is/was (havent done the quest) a portal to the realm "Far, Far Away", which could possibly be the end.
8 The corruption actually is dying off, which is why the Villagers opened their gates to Gavel, so more than likely, decay or darkness will be the new thing to hit Wynn.
9 We don't know really what Bob did or didnt fight, as theres lore that says Ice Zombie King, Pigman Chief, and implying it was the CoW. Now, however, he may have fought against this big beastie from Far Far Away
10 Unless sun people are involved, there is very little change Time Traveling is the thing, and even then, Time Travel with the sun people is just a window to the past, not real interaction. Unless Siwel helps, as his Alchemy makes it intractable, but yer temp inside another guy's brain.

 

Yeah this whole time I was just reading it too fast. Not that I don't know what haven means.
