    does your loot bonus affect what can come in chests or is it just completely random?

    A Higher Loot Bonus will increase the amount and rarity of the loot in a chest. I'm unsure if this may have changed in Gavel, but it's probably the same.

    I don't think loot bonus affects loot chests. It only affects mob drops. However, the longer the chest has been left unopened, the better the loot inside.

    Really? As I remember in Olde Wynn, having a massively high Loot Bonus would get you really good stuff in chests.

    It also decreases the chance of getting worse item drops from mobs (Such as depressing items) and increases the chance of better item drops.
