What terrible set bonus? Mage builds are based around spell, and the 3/3 jester gives extra spell, and they can negate the negative xp and loot if they get average or above stats.

 

was looking at xp bonus, guess you shouldn't grind with this

 

What I mentioned is that with average or above stats, the 3/3 set bonus can be negated or you can even get extra special and loot bonus. The average is 40 or 39 for both xp and loot and if you have 3, it will negate the negative stats.

 

I'd like to see one of your builds actually.

Edit: I was thinking about it, however it also lowers water damage, and with both high water damage and high intelligence it's not worth it in my opinion :/

It's actually x9, because of 400% meteor ;)

 

Ah, so that's how it works maybe. Is your pure 500% or 400%?

Any ways, nice build. You should try the untested cancer tauras with roulette build. Looks insane

Maybe you could use ohms rage, capascin, or Sagittarius, the first two if you don't mind low leveled items

I'd rather not use Sagittarius, as the 100 agility point requirement is too high to fit the rest of the gear.

It's a 500% pure with the base spell of 400% from meteor. However raw spell damage is applied before spell %, so essentially take any raw spell, multiply it by 9 and that's how much damage you're adding. This took a while to test xD
